What I've seen of First Class was pretty good though. And it doesn't look like they are going to reboot it anytime soon.

Sony doesn't want to lose the rights to Spidey, (or let Disney have them) so they'll crank out a movie every couple years whether it's any good or not.
Sue them all!
And I thought SW fans were grumpy. ;)
I actually haven't noticed any outages the last couple days. *knocks on wood*
That the Blackhat thing is back again like a bad case of cooties, doesn't speak well of the hosting service though.

Well don't get me wrong they came up with a good episode once in a while but between Janeway and the fact that any danger never lasted more then two episodes and the terrorists acting like normal starfleet members of the crew this one just fails for me. I felt like Enterprise started to get it's act together in season three but I never got that same feeling with Voyager. Plus I thought the idea of a Star Trek prequel was pretty dumb and didn't have a lot of places to go. Also it was clearly done just to cash in on the Star Wars prequels,so I wasn't expecting much from Enterprise. Voyager on the other hand had the best idea for any Star Trek spin off and if they had followed through it would have been great, but they didn't so Voyager has always felt kind of soul crushing to me. Like there was a show I would love somewhere in there but it fell apart somewhere along the way.
A Captain Pike show might have been better received by fans. (Or even one set during April's command.) That era has been the subject of novels and comics, and would have had more ties to TOS.
Enterprise was subjected to behind the scenes meddling, and UPN didn't even have stations in a lot of key markets. (Many fans were downloading episodes just to see the show, something not factored into the ratings.) UPN went belly up not too long after they cancelled the show.
Were the Aladdin DTV's actually finished up on film? If they were edited on SD video, (as were the Disney Afternoon shows) that would be the stumbling block for a Blu Ray release.
If they would finally include the deleted Cauldron Born footage as a an extra, I'd be a very happy camper. ;)

I just started watching SF Debris' reviews of Star Trek Voyager this weekend and all I can say is I love his take on Captain Janeway.
"Then we will just sweep out the shuttle and send in the next poor bastard!"
:)
For all the problems they had being stuck in the Delta Quadrant, there was no shortage of shuttles nor redshirts. ;)
About time The Black Cauldron was announced. Hope they don't screw it up.
Are you talking broadcast date or production order?
My take is the Mon Calamari haven't been openly part of the Rebellion until recently, (we don't see them at all in ESB) so their ships aren't as battle worn as what we've already seen.
Unless things have been going badly for a long time before Episode VII begins, I don't expect the good guys to have ships in rough shape.
It's not a major issue in this context. George does it too. ;)
I can understand it. The edits are more obvious though.
Were those last couple shots always reversed, or did you do that? The hair gives it away.
Proof that Ric looks good in any outfit...

Han can still be a deadly shot with a blaster and fly the Falcon. (He really doesn't get into the kind of body bruising scenarios Dr. Jones does.) We had this gal in a deleted scene from ROTJ after all...

They were turned into newts! They got better...
Every incarnation of Trek has it's very own Spock's Brain. In Voyager's case, that was it's own The Great Vegetable Rebellion. ;)
You could have lots of fun with the intercom voices on the Death Star.
There's still the Boston screening, which was publicized and got media coverage.
Apples and oranges. (Yes, I went there.) Lucas and his family weren't living under the specter of someone doing them physical harm because the OT remained in circulation.
And so far, rogue screenings of Star Wars have gone on without a peep from the ranch.
Maybe he's taken the last line he had in TWOK to heart?
Wolfman shared this cool link in the SW random thoughts thread.

There are scans of the Topps TOS and TMP cards. The TMP ones are of special interest, as there are shots of the many exotic aliens that ended up on the cutting room floor, and a deleted scene or two. :)

I never saw the yellow, green or orange cards. I have all the red and blue set.
Some good scans here including Star Wars series 1,2,3 plus Alien,Superman,The Black hole.......

The best damn Shining website from Timbuktu, to Portland, Maine. Or Portland, Oregon for that matter. ;)

I am convinced both original film stock (or copies of it) and scanned unaltered digital version of it exist. The only other scenario is that Lucas explicitly ordered to destroy/delete them.
Yes, ala Kubrick, who instructed Leon Vitali to destroy the deleted scenes and outtakes from 2001, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange and Barry Lyndon.
Yes, Stanley had stuff burned, but even the most meticulous director can't account for every scrap of film. They found the deleted 2001 footage in a salt mine MGM uses to preserve it's library several years back. Whether we get to see it anytime soon is anyone's guess.
The Eastman House advertised a Halloween screening of The Shining a couple years back with the legendary cut ending. They had to change their plans and show the final cut, presumably because Kubrick's estate objected, but that footage is in someone's hands somewhere.
