Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

The complete lack of any real promotion for Strange Magic thus far really makes it look like something Disney isn't too keen on. There's not even a trailer online anywhere that I can find. I don't doubt the teaser could play with it, but it's likely not going to be the first place we see it.

If they still made trailers on 35mm, someone would have stolen it and scanned frames from it by now. ;)

I mean, I thought Return of the Jedi established that Fett basically lived at Jabba's. Not that I ever much liked the idea, but what the hell else is he doing just chilling there in the movie?

For all we know from the movies, Boba is just someone who Jabba reccommended to Vader. The lengends universe made him the best bounty hunter in the galaxy.

Vader called him the best in the HS cartoon. ;)

Wow, I was just coming here to rant about that!

What is wrong with the universe that this miserable waste of carbon is still alive at 80, and a chick magnet? I know some women are attracted to "bad boys", but this is just batsh*t crazy.

Bad enough I saw someone dressed as Charlie at Monsterpalooza last summer. I prefer my psychopaths to be fictional.

I hope they are not allowed any conjugal visits. ;)

JEDIT:According to CNN, there will be no prison nookie! Sorry, Charlie! NOT!

If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place

If this woman mentioned the encounter in a 2002 book, it doesn't make sense she only told half of it then.

With the passage of time, it's unfortunately going to be very hard to prove anything. If it's all true, then these women were failed by a whole lot of people, especially their agents and managers. And a popular celebrity was enabled by those in his inner circle to cover things up. Someone from his camp would have to break their silence to take this to the next level.

How about the side against rape? How would you feel if 97% of all murderers got away scot-free? Or say that murder victims deserved do die in the first place because they were asking for it?

This is today's rape culture people, where any man can sexually assault any woman on the street without any repercussions down the road. It's even better if you're a famous comedian, football player, filmmaker, or politician; the public can just slutshame your victims into silence! This is how extremely sexist modern society is, where being raped is always the victim's fault, and being famous gets rid of all those pesky laws that ordinary people have to obey.

And it's not just because Cosby thinks black people should clean up their act.

Mike Tyson did jail time, if you remember.

Is this the first time it's been acknowledged like this?

What that it exists? Nah, they've owned up to it for years. At one of the Celebrations they used publicity stills from it on free luggage tags they were giving away.

As for a blu-ray release. That will never happen. It was shot on tape, not film. So there's no version of it that would exceed 480p.

A DVD release however...

It could be included as an extra on a Blu Ray in SD, much like all the parodies and the Boba Fett cartoon were on the last boxset.

Considering Black Dynamite had Cosby as a villain in a recent episode, (the Fat Albert references got me right between the eyes) and they made a reference to date rape, this seems to have been below the surface for a very long time.

However, most people posting those pictures on Twitter are your typical trolling assholes with no interest in whether he's actually guilty or not. And that standup comedian who apparently reignited this with by joking about it in his act probably wasn't acting out of some sense of injustice either.

Is he guilty? I have no idea. But the court of public opinion seems to have already made it's judgement. The groundbreaking positive roles he's played over the decades are forever going to be overshadowed by this now.
