Well, it's not like there aren't other adaptations out there. ;)

The GOUT masters will be used again. ;)

Where did his eyes go?
And his face looks mushy in motion...
It could be somebody puppeting the head perched on the empty costume we see in this shot.

If they republish the originals, that would make up for it a tad. (If only they could include the original ads and letters page.) It's still shabby treatment of the book that arguably turned Marvel's fortunes around in the 70's. They sold a ton of the movie adaptation, and it was reprinted so many times, I've lost count.
It's a safe bet Thomas and Chaykin don't benefit from this financially?
Weren't Chaykin and co trying to do something else so they sabotaged Star Wars, that's why ended up with so much delightful goofy nonsense?
What? Roy Thomas is the one who lobbied Stan Lee to adapt the movie in the first place. And this is after Lucas initially approached Marvel about a Star Wars comic and was turned down.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like a Harlequin Romance cover?

Maybe it's Lumpy all grown up! =D
I think you're on to something! :)

That doesn't even look like the same mask we saw before. Reminds me of an old Topps bubblegum card of Chewie that was inexplicably airbrushed to make the fur lighter.

Even when I was a kid, this looked wrong.

Just like you have to reject the OT in order to properly dismiss the PT, right? Oh, wait, you don't.
Jackson has not made a good film since Return of the King. He is the George Lucas of the Southern Hemisphere.
He's not George. Unless he goes back and puts CGI characters into Meet The Feebles. ;)
I don't think fan edits are the same thing as fan films.
Is George judging them again? ;)
Nobody ever kvetches like this about the Rakin/Bass tv movies, or Bakshi's film. ;)

OMG. WTF is this?! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-Holiday-Special-/201238741296?pt=VHS&hash=item2edac38130
OMG I want to bid on that for the Wookiee pelt cover alone.
You monster! That could have been someone I know! ;)

If Disney was behind this ill conceived bantha poodoo, it bodes ill for getting the OOT.
Do the Dark Horse omnibus volumes retain their original coloring?
Sweet zombie Jebus! They're going to SE the original comics now? This is as bad as colorizing old movies. And I thought the Dark Horse reprints in the 90's had bad coloring.
Who wants to bet they "remaster" this scene? ;)

I actually got my copy from eBay in the late 90s. At the age of 12, I didn't realize it was an illegal copy since it came in a hard VHS case with some professional looking artwork. The price was good and the listing said it was very rare, so I jumped on it. :-)
Don't feel too bad, there were really only two ways to get it back then. You either bought a copy at a con, or tape traded for it. Even Weird Al bought a copy in a back alley. ;)
Great, they're ripping off Rifftrax too. :/
As Grievous' ship looks something belonging to Batman, have some Batmobile or Batwing sound effects, (and some of the '89 movie music?) as Obi Wan steals takes off in it.
Why? Does it have cooties or something? ;)
Mind you, I'm not yet totally sold on this, but I need to follow at least one project over there.
Nice!
I suspect the little things that would have beefed up the Ewoks as fighters, (and conveyed they were faring poorly against Imperial forces) were toned down or eliminated in the editing room. It's amazing a shot of an Ewok holding an Imperial blaster did make the final cut.

ROTJ footage of Ewoks with guns made it into Battle For Endor.

Moulin Rouge.
Ah, I seem to have forgotten a lot of that movie already. ;)
Sadly, there have been others selling what look like non SW preservation projects from here in the past year.
Does Ebay actually respond to messages finking on these creeps? When they are selling legit items as well as bootlegs, they seem to not attract much scrutiny.
Just get it out before the sequel. ;)
I like it! Even though I thought that was a good spot to hear the "white zone" gag again, it really doesn't need it. ;)
Where on earth did you get "Unconscious Argentinian" from?
I'll take Ewoks over Gungans any day of the week. Ewoks throw better parties anyway. ;)
