I don't consider J.J. a bad director.

The site's up again/down again crap is getting old. The server needs a slight adjustment with a sledgehammer...
The server seems to be hiccuping since last night. I couldn't get past the front page at all today before now.
Jay is aware of the issue.

Wasn't there a Shadows action figure line? I have Chewie in that bounty hunter disguise...
Harrison Ford is out of the hospital. :)

I was just interested, I heard an interview where George Lucas' mother pronounces the movie as THEX throughout it, so I was wondering if that was how George referred to it at 'home'.
It got me thinking about how the general public pronounced it.
I remember the Australian band INXS (In Excess) being introduced as 'inks' on stage once.
Interesting, what interview (documentary) did you see?
Btw, have you guys come to a decision yet regarding the '71 print scan? I would personally suggest Spaced Ranger if it comes to color correction of the print but he himself may not agree with me of course. I just thought it would at least reduce workload off your shoulders, Poita. What's the plan, guys? THX-Vinegar Edition.
Proceed as you think best. You guys know what you're doing. :)
Thanks, Spaced Ranger. :)
Star Trek Rebels?
I've lost the newest memory card I have for my camera. Clearly there's a small wormhole that sucks up small items the minute you begin to look for them.
Desperately tries to keep mind out of the gutter, fails miserably...

If the recent films are any guide they'll do some sh*tty modern-twist update of the cat, like Blofeld stroking a Furby.
Furby's can be evil. ;)

That's been a common misspelling since the beginning. What do the numbers mean?
I would think they are going to avoid anything that might remind audiences of Dr. Evil, therefore, no cat.
Has any American made movie based on an old anime actually made money? I enjoyed Speed Racer, but it's considered a box office failure.
Robotech's storyline is too lengthy and complex to boil down into a two hour action flick anyway. I could see a miniseries along the lines of the Battlestar Galactica reboot potentially working though.
Groot was in Dark Empire? ;)
Not my first rodeo, but I haven't worn it in a long while. (Need to get it out of mothballs and check it's condition pretty soon.) Previous voyages were in con space under the same roof as the hotel, so there were no worries about being outside too long, or watching out for traffic.
And Frink had better be going as Ric. ;)
I normally would be fine with walking that one block, but the logistics of doing that in costume is a little daunting.
Yeah, it's those long lines that give me pause.
Not the place for that Duracell, and you know it. Stay on topic, please...

I wonder if the sort of color video voodoo the Dr. Who restoration team has done with episodes that exist as black and white prints could be possible with this?
Unfortunately, no. IIRC, the BBC team relied heavily on the fact that the video was transferred via a composite medium by using information gleaned from the dot crawl to figure out which color caused the interference in the luma (B&W) channel in the first place.
Actually, I was thinking of how they took the color signal from a fan's Betamax recordings and combined it with the monochrome 16mm.

Sorry, I misread your post and thought you outed yourself!
*blinks* It's no secret that I'm a Wookiee. ;)
I've been looking at the maps on the hotel reservation part of the official website, showing the paths from various hotels to the convention center, and they all seem to take the really long way around. Even the one that is right next door, where one should only have to cross the street.
Is there any reason to think the most direct route walking from a hotel to Celebration is going to be obstructed, or is Google maps just nutty?
It made The Nightly Show on Comedy Central this evening.
Is the site kind of slow and laggy for anyone else tonight?
