Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

Yeah, probably a wardrobe and not a makeup test. (And I think they sometimes do shoot tests with doubles who are the same size as the actors before they get down to final fittings.) I see inspiration from Leia's Hoth and Endor commando outfits.

There might even be a good reason for her to blend in with the troops in the plot.

We'll probably see her looking more regal at some point in the film.

Info: Anyone wanna talk about preservation/fan edits on my podcast?

TV's Frink said:

I've listened to a few of these podcasts, very interesting stuff. Certainly not your normal sports/news/entertainment podcast, and definitely NSFW in places. The intros and background music are very weird and kind of annoying (especially the music), but the interviews are pretty solid and entertaining...mostly because the guests are weirdos.

I actually feel like I might be too normal for this podcast. ;-)

That's why we need to find you a Ric Olie costume for public appearances. ;)

[fill in the blank] Just Died!

TCM is doing a Lee movie marathon tribute on June 22nd.

There was this black and white horror film I could only recall fragments of, as I saw it on tv when I was very young. Used to drive me crazy as to what the name could have been or who was in it. Much to my surprise and delight, when TCM dug up a battered print on Halloween a couple years ago, it turned out to one of Sir Lee's films, Castle of the Living Dead.

Yes, Lucas could have done more with the character. Bumping Dooku off so early in ROTS seems a waste. It is to Lee's credit I believed Dooku wasn't dyed in the wool evil in AOTC, and more of a double agent character, if only for a little while.

And The Howling II is a turkey so bad, Lee allegedly apologized to director Joe Dante, (who made the original film) for being in it.

Idea & Help Wanted: Making of Star Wars 16mm Library Rental
Time

Now you tell us? Puggo has been working on the first two for quite some time.

The Disney clips were cut from all home video releases, and even prints of SPFX.

16mm and Super 8 versions of The Black Hole and Mary Poppins were purchased to restore that segment, and a Youtube video of an unedited UK broadcast was going to patch Mark Hamill's narration.

I am glad you have SWTJ, as that was a a tough one to find, only ever showing up once on Ebay, and vanishing into a collector's cupboard soon after.
