So that's what Adywan looks like?

Ha! It reminds me more of this creepy-as-hell toy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo:_Man_of_a_Thousand_Faces

I had a Hugo I found in a thrift store back in college. He vanished from the studio before I could use him in a video, and is probably still at large.

Hugo played a crucial role on Pee Wee Herman's original stage show as a hypnosis inducing puppet. ;)

Last warning.

Calm down chief, I was replying to a post above your 'warnings' before I even saw what you put.

As for not knowing when to stop, I think you have me confused with someone else.

It was a general warning for people to stay on topic. And my reply to mverta was not referring to you.

Moderator warnings ought to be taken seriously in any case.

Episode VI: Return of the Ridiculousness
Time

Another thing to file away for future use. The 1978 SW knockoff, Message From Space has a final battle that is amazingly like the Death Star run in ROTJ. I almost believe George saw it, and showed it to his ILM guys.

So, it might be funny to recut the entire final attack with shots from MFS. It's a bit easier to find on DVD now than when I got a copy a few years back.

Almost Star Wars - local film tribute including The Ewok Adventure
Time

Unless Lexx didn't mention it, The Shape of Things To Come, which has nothing to do with H.G. Wells's story or 1930's classic film...

And another Japanese guilty pleasure, Message From Space...

If the FX shots look familiar, a lot of it was used in the old Laserdisc arcade game, Astron Belt. I also suspect George saw the movie, and took notes for the Death Star run in ROTJ. ;)

What is it with the Japanese and sailing ships in space anyway?

TFA is going to be focus grouped garbage, just like all modern blockbusters.

Such a shame that it won't live up to the prequels.

I'll be so pissed if nobody steps in poop in the new film.

I have a trusted source which assures me that TFA will up the ante by featuring full-blown coprophilia.

Let us not go there. Please?

Is it a bad sign that they're only taking two years apeice for the new films, or was that the same for the other six and they just took off a year in between production of films?

IIRC, pre production on AOTC was underway as TPM was in theaters. The same for ROTS as AOTC was released.

Also, they seem to be working on scripts for the sequels well in advance. That makes planning the films a lot easier.
