A cool website devoted to the Trek spinoff that never was, but may yet be?

Wedge was the first one to take down an Imperial Walker on Hoth, and he helped blow up the DSII, that’s not important?
Oh yeah, he also saved Luke’s butt in the battle of Yavin. 😉No, those aren’t important. Cut him out and the movies are almost exactly the same.
I get why SW fandom overemphasizes background characters and bit players - these are movies we’ve seen hundreds of times so we know who says every line, plus EU/action figure/imagination potential - but when it gets down to the actual content I think fans need to remember to put things in perspective.
Blame Kenner. 😛

I didn’t know he was in TFA until I saw the movie. It certainly wasn’t hyped beforehand.
I thought they were more like amphibians. There was a squid guy in Jabba’s palace though.
Yeah, I think they forgot an actor gets attached to a character, and their “death” can be an emotional experience. Rose has lived with Ackbar for three decades. On one level Ackbar’s death is as cavalier as Boba Fett’s in ROTJ. A decision made without regard to what the fans had invested in a character in spite of little screen time, and they’ve been trying to walk that one back ever since.
Arguably, he’s more beloved than Mr. Binks. Why would he be a gag character? He’s not there for any cheap jokes, nor is he a subject of ridicule.
That’s a good question! Do they still think he’s a god?
I didn’t even notice the lamp. Maybe they will do Luke’s emergency rations kit next?
It does my heart good you took them to see Apollo 11. The screening I attended was definitely all the 50 and over crowd. I was fearing kids were missing out an amazing historical record.
As they’ve had a relationship with the Mouse releasing Touchstone Pictures like The Rock and Armageddon going all the way back to Laserdiscs, that’s not such a crazy idea. 😃
Wouldn’t surprise me if that was an old Don Post guard helmet. Did they put some screen used items in there somewhere?
Lots of cool stuff. The comlink would be cool to have. More prequel stuff than I was expecting, although no Jar Jar stuff. 😉
Well, if the Blu-Ray isn’t slathered with DNR, maybe that’s the way to go?
I think it was the double disc edition, as I was slowly buying them as they went on sale many years ago. The Laserdisc may have the mattes opened up slightly. It was one of the “test” THX mastered titles before the first official THX LD releases though.
Does the Blu-Ray retain the changes?
Do you think Riker ever asked the Bynars if he could get a copy of the Minuet program? 😛
And random Tribbles are nothing new. 😉
I’ve been re-watching the movies lately, and my copy of The Undiscovered Country has vanished. I’m starting to question if I actually had a DVD copy at all. The Laserdisc will have to do if it doesn’t turn up.
Would be nice to see the USS Titan on screen.
It’s beautiful!!!
Harrison Ford infamously wanted to tie George to a chair and make him say the lines he’d written for Han. 😉
what about Revenge Of The Edgelord ? 😃
Try and be a little more nice?
I’ll see what I can do. Not sure where my copy is at the moment, and with my current net speed it would take half a day to upload somewhere.
Maybe they sneak in their own then? 😛
There might be some minor differences as WDW has more land available to build on, but I think they will be very similar.
I wonder how long this reservation thing is going to last? With alcohol being served, the whole being escorted out of GE by troopers could get ugly really fast.
Awesome! Which proves Star Wars is truly timeless. 😃
