The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee is claiming that he has been presented with new information on collusion between associates of President Donald Trump and Russia that would merit a grand jury investigation.
Rep. Adam Schiff told CNN Thursday that he had seen additional evidence, but would not specify what it was.
“We continue to get new information that, I think, paints a more complete picture of at least what we know at the outset of our investigation,” Schiff said.
Asked to explain his comments earlier in the week when he said there was more than just “circumstantial evidence of collusion,” Schiff said, "I do think that it’s appropriate to say that it’s the kind of evidence that you would submit to a grand jury at the beginning of an investigation.
“It’s not the kind of evidence that you take to a trial jury when you’re trying to prove something beyond a reasonable doubt. But we’re at the beginning of an investigation, and given the gravity of the subject matter, I think that the evidence certainly warrants us doing a thorough investigation.”

Why would they have to go back to the models made for the '97 SE? Couldn’t they just use the new and improved models used in R1?
I’m sure the programs ILM uses have progressed enough that they couldn’t plug the new models into the 97 (likely made in 95) animations. So they’d probably have to start from scratch.
The original SE Jabba they made was animated manually frame-by-frame using stuff they built for Jurassic Park.
On the commentary track for Episode III, an ILM guy talks about how they weren’t sure the Boss Nass model created for TPM would work with their current software, (to their surprise, it did) and that was only about a six year gap. I would think a 20 year gap would be impossible in either direction.
I’ll be surprised if SNL doesn’t do a skit where Trump catches Pence alone in the Oval Office measuring the drapes. 😉

The only time I can recall someone getting into trouble for producing a fan edit was Selutron who was working on an edit of Superman II, it was an incredibly ambitious edit as far as fanedits go too. Even Warner Bros were impressed by what he was doing, but for whatever reason he was ordered to stop production of it, maybe it was because he was always talking shit about the Donner Cut lol. Joking aside, I think the most logical explanation was his work was gaining a lot of attention across the web to the point Warners were worried about the possibilities of the fan cut surfacing and doing the rounds on the black market, I heard something like that happened to another guy who was working on some called “Superman II: The Green Cut”.
Any idea if they were sent an actual cease and desist letter? Warner’s would have to know who they really are. Of course, an ominous letter from a major studio threatening legal action would be intimidation enough.
The long worked on restoration of the tv cut of Superman went completely off the grid, after some dotty member of a Superman forum decided to tell Warner’s about it’s existence. IIRC, that was out of caution more than any legal rumblings though.

I will admit I haven’t seen much Benny Hill, but what I have seen was him chasing around half-naked women while “funny” music plays. No thanks.
We American blokes have sadly only seen the latter half of Benny’s long tv career. (I think a good chunk of his 60’s shows are lost?) But there are flashes of brilliance even in the later years. I saw a sketch he did about how widescreen movies are ruined when being shown cropped on tv, that was as good as any Python skit. And not a half naked woman being chased in sight!
There was also a parody of The Avengers that cracked me up with all the purposely badly concealed stunt doubles I was reminded of watching the real show recently.

Think I’ve seen that photo before. The only behind the scenes photos Lucasfilm was ever skittish about were in the early days, involving being able to see certain characters with their masks off, or Artoo with Kenny Baker poking out.

CBS is handling the tv shows, and Paramount the movies these days. Paramount doesn’t even show much interest in their back catalog. Much of it has been licensed out to other labels, which results in bare bones Blu Rays, when the old DVD’s had extras.
Anyone else have some of the jokes and references from MST3K go over your head? Shockingly showing my age, but I do enjoy the series regardless if I can pinpoint them.
