Shame they all but edited out Moroff, Bistan and Pao (and that U-Wing pilot) - I like to think they had a bit of an A-Team vibe going on there 😃
Plus, I feel for a bit for the actors playing them in that heat/conditions, in those costumes & makeup, trying to keep cool and do their scenes well - only to not appear as much as we’d hope… and then not even in deleted scenes!

3D BluRays are still being released in any case.
For current movies showing theatrically in 3D. I can’t imagine LFL doing the work to finalize 3d blus of the SEs for home video alone, and the theatricals are confirmed quashed.
Smaller labels like Twilight Time have been releasing titles from the 1950’s for a while now. Others are mining the '80’s. I fear by the time I can get my hands on a 3D set, they’re all going to be out of print.
Glasses free displays are being developed, but whether the 3D is as good as wearing the glasses remains to be seen.

On a related note, why do most of Norman Lear’s 1970’s shows look like they were shot on VHS? When I see them on tv now, they look awful video wise. Either the masters were lost, or they were shot with really bad gear. The early seasons of SNL I have on DVD look like hi def by comparison.

You really can’t lump that shot from Jedi in with bad prequel CGI. There are probably lots of fight scenes in old movies where if you went frame by frame, you could see the blows don’t actually connect.

There are times where I hold the prequels in such high regard that I can’t believe what I’m looking at… this is one of those times. I had to go into a frame-by-frame analysis to see that it WAS from ROTS. It was a “blink and you’ll miss it” moment. My apologies.
Well, there goes my dignity, and my respect for this film.
Arguably, watching ROTS frame by frame is penance enough.
Which means Frink will be eligible for sainthood when he finishes his edit. 😉
Funny that the site I usually pull SW screenshots from didn’t have that particular shot, which plunged me into doubt.
I would like to forget Eraserhead sometimes, but it had enough of an impact on Stanley Kubrick that he screened it for the cast and crew of The Shining, to give them an idea of what he wanted to do.
IIRC, they got a new voice actor.
