It’s a trick of the light and shadow. If you look closely, it’s a full length VHS tape. EP/SLP had such lousy tracking problems playing back on machines other than what it was originally recorded on, I can’t see a company putting out tapes for airlines using it to just save a few pennies on tapes.
Weird, Jabba didn’t have them in the Clone Wars movie either. Don’t know if any Hutts had them around in the series.

I always liked Marvin. Moore’s voice was just perfect for the character.
Interesting that they spelled Wookiee right. Kenner wasn’t the largest toy company at the time, (that was probably Mattel) and their biggest success before 1977 was The Six Million Dollar Man line, but Star Wars is what really raised their profile.

With all the footage they must have of Cushing in the vault, I’m surprised they didn’t go the Superman Returns route. I totally get the vibe you’re going for here. Reminds me how they didn’t show Blofeld’s face in the early 007 films. Keeping a similar air of mystery around Tarkin and Leia works for me.

They were all the Lowry masters on the ones I caught the ends of. I didn’t catch The Spy Who Loved Me, so don’t know if they used the quietly remastered non Lowry version that turned up on Blu-Ray.

She was essentially taking on the Basil Exposition role from the Austin Powers movies. It’s just she seemed wasted in a role that could have been filled by a minor character, like some sort of alien informant who traffics in information. (Plus you get a new action figure for the kiddies. 😃 )
I was actually more curious about the firefight she was in than the filmmaker’s were willing to show us.
Phasma had a logical reason to be there and is Finn’s sort of main nemesis. That arc seems finished. If she shows up in TROS, she’d better be half cyborg or something after her apparent demise.
