The irony is if somebody was going to do something sinister, a Vader mask is a pretty lousy choice where eyesight and hearing is concerned. Even the movies had to have special masks with extra holes cut in them for the stuntmen to see who they’re fighting.

TNG episodes had to be completely rebuilt from scratch. The cost of scanning all 12 seasons of MASH really ought not to cost as much. Unless the film elements are in bad shape.

I wish the more utilitarian uniforms and colour palette from “The Cage”/“Where No Man Has Gone Before” had been retained in TOS proper. I really don’t care for the garish Technicolor sets or those unprofessional-looking mini-dresses the ladies had to wear.

Having screened a whole lot of Hayden movies to help Frink out with his ROTS edit, I can attest that Christensen is a capable actor. One can only do so much with a dodgy script and indifferent direction.

I can’t remember which was the actual first… but one of Aliens, Robocop and Predator was the first R rated film I ever saw. I turned 10 in 1986… so those movies came at a perfect time for me.
I actually think it’s true that they simply don’t make action movies like they used to… that era was simply full of amazing action films that IMO have been rarely (if ever) topped since.
Aliens, Robocop, Predator, Conan the Barbarian, Die Hard, Total Recall… .even lesser stuff like Commando and Rambo 2 were great in a campy while still being serious kind of way that you don’t see much these days.
As I continue to watch Robocop I’m kind of amazed how awesome it is… like it actually might be one of the best films ever made. I mean how many other films do what they set out to do so damn well?
Kenner actually first tried marketing Alien toys in 1979. It didn’t get much further than the big chap, a board game, and a Super 8mm movie viewer. ReAction has made an action figure line based on Kenner’s never manufactured prototypes in recent years.

The ones I saw last night all seemed to be Trumpites. The libs were all laughing their asses off at the fuss. In any case, it’s twitter.
