I wouldn’t put it past Snoke to conjure up a fake Anakin/Vader ghost that says exactly what he wants Ben to hear. (Maybe a specially programmed holocron?) He had to come up with something tangible to sway Ben. I doubt this shrine to the burnt Vader mask thing came exclusively from Ben.

Maybe the whole slingshot thing is classified a century later? Obviously Kirk and company know how to do it. If it was common knowledge, everybody would be forever altering the timeline. There are other Voyager episodes where ye olde slingshot would have solved a problem or two. There’s also the whole “don’t alter history” thing, which is why Sisko gets a visit from Temporal Investigations after his little side trip into the past.
I can’t recall how the Enterprise E even got back home in First Contact, if they addressed the issue at all.
JEDIT:Geordi says he can recreate the Temporal Vortex thingy, which seems a better way to get around than ye olde slingshot, but it’s probably never mentioned in Trek again.
That might have been a problem deep inside Romulan space?

Jimmy Smits probably knew he could be replaced, technically he was Bail Organa #2 as the first fellow ended up on the TPM cutting room floor. McGregor and company knew they couldn’t be canned, so they could be more openly grumpy.
It’s too bad Lucas ultimately didn’t get along with the people who helped him make a film better like Gary Kurtz. If there had been a close circle of trusted people around him like Kubrick cultivated, not a bunch of yes men who were afraid to make suggestions, things might have been different.

LOL! I used to hold onto the rabbit ears of the kitchen tv to pull in a New York station that had all the cool cartoons in the morning when I was kid. Sticking my free arm up in the air also helped. Not sure analog tv signals passing through my body was healthy.

I can understand old batteries leaking in something that hasn’t been used in a long time, but in a remote I use several times a week and the batteries had not even become weak yet? Damned lucky I caught it in time before any real damage was done.
I stay the heck away from cheap no name batteries, (got a mild burn from leaking batteries in a remote back in the '80’s) but even Duracell seems like it can’t be trusted now.
Been slowly replacing batteries in the umpteen remote controls I have around with rechargeables as the original batteries go dead, but I need to accelerate that timetable.

That is one of the things I hated about the prequels. I’m all up for redemption and everything, but when you slaughter a school full of kids, I don’t think you get to come back from that.

What’s the source of that artwork?
The THX remix is probably more “interesting” but the older editions are probably more authentic to the theatrical mix. Even the 80’s pan and scan version has digital sound. I have every domestic LD release.
I can get an LD audio capture done if you need it. I presume a pre THX version is what you’re looking for?
