I don’t think my Walmart doesn’t has a rotating gun display. Hard to tell from the photo if that sign is attached to the display or not. If half the security cameras actually worked they could figure out who did it.

While I have lost all respect for this guy, people sometimes refer to overbearing people in authority as nazis, without literally meaning that they are the same as people that murdered 6 million innocent people.

Any educated person ought to know the historical baggage that comes with invoking such things.

Any educated person also ought to know the sometimes people mean things figuratively and not literally. I don’t think is any different than someone calling a forum moderator a forum nazi after getting banned by same forum moderator. I think he is using that shirt to make a point, not because he actually thinks Google is the same the Soviet Union. Keep in mind he was just fired from the company for speaking his mind.

I would think there’s a code of conduct he signed off on when he was hired that he broke when he posted that memo internally, as opposed to posting anonymously elsewhere. Bad idea to do it on the company dime.

I couldn’t get into MMPR too much as the gimmick of replacing the Japanese actors was bloody obvious. I had grown up with the likes of Ultraman and Jonny SokKo and His Flying Robot more or less intact in their English dubs.
Night Flight had already aired Dynaman a couple years before MMPR came out. It was a Super Sentai show dubbed ala What’s Up Tiger Lily? into a comedy, with a rocking 80’s soundtrack that almost guarantees it will never see a home video release. Interesting that MMPR never used footage from it.

I wonder if George ever thought about Luke and Vader battling with giant robots? 😉

Can you imagine the outcry if they showed a Porg getting eaten by our heroes? You can kill billions on screen in a Star Wars movie, but you can’t eat cute fuzzy creatures.

Maybe they’re going to watch the Rifftrax versions?

It was probably remastered to cash in on the new MMPR movie that came out this year.

I never said you had or were going to. It was a general warning. We’ve had problems in the past with people who decided to post/do things elsewhere and involved or invoked this site. That is all.

I would think there’s other sources of food around. Probably lots of fish in the ocean, (what else would the porgs eat?) and a Jedi ought to have an easy time catching enough to eat. The porgs might even catch fish for Luke with a little guidance.

This damn thing better not poop or fart in the movie, or I’m walking. If they’re going to add a nauseatingly cute critter to the cast, this must be a really dark film and need to lighten the mood. Disney is probably going to make a billion on merchandising this thing alone. George is probably wishing he’d thought of this.
