Well, a local college has decided to remove bust of a founding father. The reason? He was slave owner, just like Jefferson and Washington.
What I want to know is why the they are removing the bust, yet keeping the school named after him.
Is it really too far fetched to think that maybe statues of Jefferson and Washington might also have to go?

I do think they are overreacting. Trumpy will probably unfortunately exploit this. Not that he ever heard of Stockton before.

IIRC, Galactica built up a library of shots they could combine in different ways. This did lead to at least one shot of a group of shuttles where two seemingly were going to collide before they cut to another scene.
I think there were different angles on Spock’s coffin, but that may have been new footage. Speaking of Kahn, the starfield from the opening credits is supposed to have been recycled as a rear projection outside a window on the Enterprise in TFF.
Hmmmm. It could be the re-used klingon bird of prey explosion? Sounds like there is something fishy no new special effects either. I don’t have the final frontier to check.
You’re thinking of the Bird of Prey explosion in The Undiscovered Country that was shamelessly recycled in Generations.
ILM was busy on Last Crusade and Ghostbusters 2, so most of the effects in The Final Frontier were done by a smaller company with mixed results.
The only thing I think I can spot so far from screenshots is the shot of the Enterprise A in spacedock from The Voyage Home was recomposited for TFF and the Excelsior in the foreground is gone.
The disconnect with reality is a little bit scary.

You have to pop up the on screen display and navigate to it. Pain in the ass. Even my Toshiba HD-DVD player has those buttons.
The remote for my JVC DVD recorder is slightly worse. The angle and audio buttons are hidden behind a little door at the very bottom of the remote making one handed use awkward. Not that I ever use it for watching stuff anyway.
Star Trek V has what’s listed in the credits as “stock optical re-composites” by ILM, who did not work on any new FX footage for the film. Not sure if this involves anything shot but not used in the previous films.

I don’t think the menu button glitch is really worth pulling your fur out over. All player remotes have the top menu button don’t they? Even my Panasonic Blu Ray remote has that while lacking subtitle and angle buttons.
The dialog works for me. Music could be a tad louder to sell it. It could build to a crescendo and cut out when Palps touches him, ending on MJ’s ow! from the song.

Saw a huge flash in the sky around 10:50 pacific time this evening. Scared the crap out of me and no idea what it could have been.
Sounds like summer lighting. First time I saw it I thought they had dropped the bomb.
I suppose, as I saw that sort of thing living on the East coast as a kid. Saw even stranger things after a violent storm back then too. It would be a pretty rare phenomenon out here. I checked the weather radar and there was no storm activity anywhere in Southern California last night as far as I can tell.
