The irony for me in all these dumb athletes is one of my favorite teachers in high school taught science and was also a basketball coach. Led the school team to many victories too. He was smart, funny and engaging. And he was always trying to learn more. It was surreal having him as a classmate in the astronomy class I took in college.

In all fairness the comics resurrected Maul first. Lucas realized too late he had a cool villain on his hands. He should have hedged his bets and simply had Maul fall down the shaft wounded but mostly intact.

The original 4:3 seasons of Futurama are now being cropped to 16:9 on the Sci Fi Channel. Since they’re still SD, it looks fuzzy. Where’s Roberto when you really need him?

Did a good run recently in a comic book store. Beat all 3 planets on one credit! Unfortunately, my shield recharge after Endor wasn’t full and I died shortly into the final battle. Still, I rarely make it past ONE planet without needing to insert new coins. So I was pretty proud of this one.
