Mark Hamill has been a seriously underrated actor for far too long. (Even though he’s probably the best incarnation of The Joker ever.) He played Mozart in Amadeus on Broadway, but likely wasn’t even considered for the film version because he’s forever identified with Luke in a way Harrison Ford doesn’t have to deal with having been both Han and Indy.
Mark just knocked it out of the park with this. I sincerely hope he gets an Oscar nomination. It would be a first for a Star Wars film?
I waited 34 years to see Luke back in action, and it was worth the wait.

I don’t fully understand space technology in Star Wars universe, but if the Rebels need to be able to send out a distress call but can’t until they get to the not so hidden base how can Finn and Poe communicate via ship to ship while Finn is elsewhere in the galaxy. Furthermore, why didn’t the Rebels escape small group by small group on the ship Finn and Rose take.
Or why didn’t Maz send help?
This film should be better.
Maybe the requirements for a general distress call to the outer rim is different than a specific point to point communication?
Finn and Rose’s ship looked awfully small to be cramming people into.
Maz looked like she had problems of her own, and she’s not part of the Resistance, so even if she knew who to contact, would they listen to her?
I advise everybody to just relax, go see the movie, and decide for yourselves. Your own opinion is what should matter to you, not that of me or anyone else here.

I’ve been spoiled, not by my own choice. I was reading an article that had nothing to do with Star Wars, and someone in the comments section blurted out a major spoiler.
You have my sympathies. That’s what happened to me in a chatroom watching a live stream two years ago. Nothing to do with Star Wars at all. People who do that should be forced to watch the Holiday Special A Clockwork Orange style. 😉

He ought to direct people to the person who can actually answer the question. If someone owning Disney stock asked the OOT question at a shareholder’s meeting they’d have to answer it, just like they did when Song Of The South came up a few years back.

Sorry! I’m going tomorrow, too. Regardless, it’s going to be hard to see her on screen and not think about the fact that this was her final role. I wonder how they’ll explain her absence in the next film?
It’s okay. The new films have been bittersweet for me anyway because my Mom isn’t here to see them with me. We were all high fives when we saw Episode III opening day, as that was supposed to be the last film, (hah!) and miraculously we’d seen them all together. That’s quite a run when I think about it.
Less than 24 hours to go for me. After a week and a half of high winds, fires, smoke, and general gloom, I need this badly.
I’m sure they’ll reissue it at some point. They’ve had Ewoks in the parks for years, (at least in Orlando) and they’ll make bank on new toys. One of the park exclusive action figure sets even had Teek!

Not sure. There is a smaller 10 disc version of the set that omits some extras that can be found for much less. The individual discs from the 15 disc set are easy to spot in their black keep cases.
People always break up massive sets and sell discs individually on Ebay. That’s how I got most of the massive Halloween set Blu-Rays without the Rob Zombie remakes.
And if we get a botched OOT out of this deal. We have top men like Harmy who can fix it!
