Wow, that reminds me a of used book I read as a kid that had several key pages missing and somehow I didn’t notice until the mystery plot simply went nowhere. The last chapter was pretty much characters leaving for home and saying their goodbyes with no reference to the mystery. I have to wonder now if someone was devious enough to remove those pages in a sort of literary vandalism.

Speaking of vandalism, did anyone encounter video sabotage back in the golden age of VHS? For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, some fiend would cover the record notch on a rental tape and insert inappropriate footage at a key moment in a film or erase an imporant scene entirely. Happened to me once with the key scene at the end of Jason Goes to Hell. I didn’t mention it to the video store for fear I would be on the hook for a $80 tape. Priced for rental sucked so hard back then.

Han - Solo Movie ** Spoilers **

I feel as if I’ve seen that style of graphic design used elsewhere before. The side by side comparison is amusing though. Chewie’s got soul!

Cribbing poster designs is actually nothing new. Sometimes studios even get the same artist to do the deed. The Hildebrandt’s said in an old Starlog interview they were basically asked by MGM to copy from their famous Star Wars poster.

Discussion: Have you Bought TLJ Action Figures?
Time

There weren’t a whole lot of new characters with what Kenner used to call toyetic qualities. Other toy lines are slumping, so it’s not just Star Wars. All the clickbait articles I’ve seen thus far have been pushing the same TLJ was a flop crap and pointing at toy sales as proof.

When you see six year-olds with their faces buried in the digital devices in their hands already, who’s left that wants to play with action figures these days?

Aren’t all weapons dangerous?

Shit, you could probably beat a guy to death with a Sunday New York Times, couldn’t ya? If you really cared enough.*

*Line stolen from George Carlin.

Didn’t Carlin also point out you could threaten someone with a sheet of paper?

There is a old story I’ve heard about a small dog getting flattened by the Sunday edition of the L.A. times.

Han - Solo Movie ** Spoilers **
Time

I wonder if the long awaited return of a certain meat eating green rabbit in the comics is tied to the Han Solo issues? Nice to see Zuckuss and 4-LOM get a little love. I can’t recall if the original Marvel run ever did anything with them.

Chewie looks good with aviator googles.

And what’s this, a Rogue One crossover in the Chewie story?

Doctor Who

Let’s hope. Although it would suck if the private collector who allegedly got it after it was nicked from that tv station in Africa, (where it was originally discovered a few years ago) walked away with money in their pocket after all this. It seems unlikely they didn’t know they were receiving a stolen print.
A necessary evil I suppose if the BBC is ever going get some of these episodes back.

Here’s hoping. I had Grease on VHS back in 1996 (which I recently discovered I still have) and I did have the DVD at one point but that got sold. I’m assuming my VHS had the original sound mix but haven’t had a chance to check. I’ve never owned it on Blu Ray so if this 4K release is decent I’ll pick it up. Has anyone tried to sync any pre-98 mix up with the current Blu Ray yet?

I believe someone on FanRes managed to sync the VHS audio to the BD.

Yes they did, using my VHS Hi-Fi capture of a factory sealed tape. (Pre 20th anniversary.) I have a copy lying around, but I don’t have a BD drive just yet.
