You have to admit Jimmy Stewart does look like he just saw a mouse or a huge spider. š

Remember when we were considered the fan fringe just for asking if we could get a restored OOT? My how times have changed!
Iād say quite a bit?

LOL! Thatās great! Reminds me of when I froze my Boba Fett figure, for no reason I can recall nowā¦
Moving somewhere else just because you canāt find a date seems pretty extreme to me. And I dated before computers existed so it seems even more extreme now.
So youāre pre-ENIAC? And I thought I was old! š

That is one downer game of Asteroids! š
Six months after TLJ was pushing it. I just hope the window of opportunity to bring Ewan back as Obi Wan isnāt lost in the process. He seems to be a busy fellow.
Heās aging pretty well. I think heās still far off enough from Guinness that we shouldnāt worry.
Iām sure heās fine, I meant scheduling wise. Solo had to replace an actor for the reshoots since they were committed to another project after the initial shoot. Actors can be tied up for years that way.

Would be interesting if they had footage from when Lukeās saber was still blue like in the Revenge trailer.
Well Kurtzman is no Feige, I donāt think heāll be able to maintain an extended universe, but I would love to be proven wrong. The animated series sounds very interesting to me.
A new animated Trek is long overdue. The Starfleet Academy idea keeps coming back like a bad penny though. According to the making of TMP book, one of the rejected pitches for TAS was making the Enterprise a cadet training vessel. Funny how that sort of did happen in TWOK.

Laurence Fishburne was in an Elm Street film?

Iām uneasy with seeing kids in what looks like a scene out of some apocalyptic tale, (Iām sure Walmart is thrilled one of their former locations is associated with this) and repulsed by people throwing out bible verses as a defense of their policy. No matter who did it before, itās on Trumpyās watch now. Guess he finally found an Obama legacy he doesnāt want to undo?
And that Fox news minion who made the summer camp comparison is either delusional or a first class witch, spelled with a b.
Was a specific poll question asked about child separation or immigration policy in general though?

Hullo, Artoo!

Come play with us! Come and play with us, Artoo!
Foreverā¦

And everā¦

And everā¦

Is an ID check for buying a lottery ticket a thing now? Nobody has asked to see my ID in years. (I donāt buy booze, smokes, or Playboy magazines.) And they didnāt just ask to see it, they scanned it. Paranoia intensifies
Maybe they just based it on the skull inside the pumpkin gag in the title sequence?
Now Pajaās gif works. Was strobing like a disco light before!
I think that gif is going to give someone a seizure!
I did a double take when I saw this.

I donāt think TV is part of the deal, so they wouldnāt get The Simpsons.
The Murdochs would hold on to the Fox network itself since Disney owning more than one of the ābig fourā (they already own ABC) would violate antitrust regulations.
Why doesnāt anti-trust apply to major film studios as well? Is six considered more than enough?
Movie studios used to own theater chains across the country. That ended in the 1950ās because of anti-trust laws.
What did you think about the different cuts?
The Donner cut was better ā up until the end. I wouldāve given it 6/10 if it wasnāt for that stupid ending.
What basically happened was, from what I understand, that they were going to use the āspin the Earthā ending for II. Once they realized itād work better for the first film, they moved it, figuring that theyād figure something out when they got to II, but once Donner got canned, thatās all they had to fall back on.
wait, so could a very kind superman fan explain to stupid old me the different cuts available for the movies and all that?
As short as possible version: The producers, the Salkinds, hired director Richard Donner because he was the flavor of the month, having come off of a hit horror film called The Omen. Donner had artistic aspirations, whereas the Salkinds were in it purely for the money. Donner brought in his own screenwriter to completely rewrite their (according to him, completely unworkable) script. Superman and Superman II were shot back-to-back as a mega production; Donner finished about 70% of the second film before locking it to finish production on the first film. It wound up being the most expensive movie ever made up to that time. It was a big box office and critical hit, but the Salkinds didnāt want to deal with Donner again, so they unceremoniously fired him, and brought in director Richard Lester to work on the sequels. Lester reshot a bunch of Donnerās scenes as well as new scenes for II to qualify for a directorās credit, so thereās tons of extra footage. Years later, they did the best they could to reconstruct Donnerās cut. Thereās also an extended cut of the first film, supervised by Donner, and a TV version with a lot of extra scenes. And presumably fan edits and deleted scenes.
Thereās a lot more to this-what is whoās footage, who shot what, etc.-thatās seeped into film fan lore, but this is the basic gist of it.
They also scrapped all of Marlon Brandoās footage for II over salary disputes. Supermanās Mom suddenly being the Kryptonian hologram giving advice from beyond the grave made no sense.
Overdrawn is probably the worst movie Iāve seen on MST, though I donāt pretend to have seen all that much of the showās total run.
I have serious doubts that a movie worse than Red Zone Cuba can exist.
Beast of Yucca Flats is much worse. I tried watching it uncut and almost lost the will to live! I simply could not finish it. And I enjoy many a bad movie. Coleman Francis is truly the worst filmmaker thatās ever lived.
And why the hell do all his movies have people being shot at from airplanes?

You know nothing of cinematic hell. Iām pretty sure The Matrix is a ripoff of it. š
I have OATMB on Laserdisc and the disc jacket framed on my wall. Now Raul Julia watches over me as I sleep.
