Guys, guys, guys...you're not using your heads. There's a way Sev can get his stills without Ady revealing anything new until release.

Sev wants 30 frames. That Fox logo runs about 30 seconds. All Ady has to do is post frames from each successive second of the Fox logo.

I mean, Sev didn't say WHICH 30 frames he wanted, right? ;-)p

I knew that one was coming, but I thought you guys would be more creative with the put downs. lol

I never said he owed anything. I simply asked a question. I've been pretty dormant for months on this forum. Asking in the past has sometime met fruitful results. I thought I take the risk to ask, even though I knew I probably get maligned by some, which indeed happened as expected.

I ask nicely for something and somehow I'm the evil enemy, or greedy.

I'm guessing it's been months since I've really said much of anything. I did say something about a new still of the progress-of-the edit update (showing how much completed at top, left to do at the bottom) in the last two weeks, but that's it. (And that one was ignored)

When are the Hoth additions filming? No date yet?

Ady, how about a new weekly still from ESB Revisited to look forward to? There are about 36 weeks left in the year. That would mean close to 30 some stills before the release in Dec. Is 30 some frames from a 2 hour movie too much to give out? It would be a great thing to look forward to once a week. I know we did it before. Just think about it, please.

I was wondering if Ady could please give us a revision of that screencap with the progress since?

Info & Ideas: ESB and ROTJ Wishlist

This might sound like a petty suggestion but Vader's movements in ROTJ especially during the final duel are rather blandly composed ( I imagine partly to mask that Bob Anderson wasn't as tall as David Prowse...once again please correct me if I wrong here).

If it were possible to get someone of the right build and in the right suit to do more dramatic movements (not just during the fight scenes but generally speaking too) it may lift the character who looked rather dull in this outing most of the time compared to ESB.

This bit of art (from the Story Of ESB story album) points somewhere in the direction I hinting at :

The Story of ESB

Not all of the time obviously but for some key moments a shot like this would add a bit of the old Vader charm to ROTJ.

But Anderson was also the guy in Vader suit in ESB. Anderson is 6'1", Hamill is like 5'7", and I am sure Anderson was wear 2 or 3 inch lifts anyways.

in fact the shot could be considered "in favor" of the sloped undercity, thus partially solving the problem ;)

Something like that:

Forgive the crudety of this, I mockuped a mockup from Vaderios, so it's all Vaderios' fault :p

Looks good you just need to darken the ring part, other than the lights.

I think Star Wars should be completely devoid of any transparent, floating, 3D projection computer interfaces. I cannot stress how much I HATE those things. ...

I think they're kinda cool but unnecessary... It would take away from what's going on during the movie and would clutter the frame. In real life I would love to have on of those Tony Stark computer on the window-like touch interfaces but for ESB it's not needed. Very nice render though.

So you rendered this for an idea of what not to do? That's awesome!

Yeah, they look very high tech, but they will look just as dated in a few years as the monitors on the first Death Star look now.

Yeah but Lucas put the same dated monitors on the Star Destroyer bridge at the end of ROTS.
