The MF is heading upward because when R2 're-fixed' the hyperdrive, the Nava-computer altered the course of the ship before they actually made the jump to lite-speed.

That doenst means that a ship is behave like a car...

From the Boost the crew should be pushed back.

Edit: Here is my try on the wall.

I just noticed the wall on the far left goes out a bit further than the wider shot showing the city buildings, nobody noticed that???

Something that CAN fixed. Obvious he is not David. Armor and mask floating...

Even when he rotates there is a previous shot that can be used reversed.

-Angel

what's throwing this scene off is the fact that the helmet is underneath the chest plate armour for some reason. i'm going to leave it as it is though. It looks to me more that Vader had to quickly replace the helmet when Piette entered and that the suit isn't on correctly. Not only that but changing the helmet in a shot where he spins around in the chair probably couldn't be pulled off

Boo! I really hoped that the helmet and armor screw up would be fixed. :(

I don't see it as a goof! it's his posture, and he somehow looks even more pissed in the hunched down original one, I hope it stay the way it is!

Ady, something else to look at where the mattes meet the set footage on the SD bridge. Can these be smoothed and blended more/better? Where Vader walks the floor looks white/light gray and it is darker where the matte begins on the floor. I have arrows pointing where the mattes and live action meet and could be blended better. Just a suggestion. Here is the still to look at.

Hey the new shot of one handed Luke looks great! I never would've thought you could minimize the lump! :)

There is also a shot of Luke after he first climbs up on the vane outside and under cloud city where it looks as if you can see his knuckles in his sleeve, I am not sure it is actually his knuckles but it kind of looks like it!

My bad. The section (on page 1) is titled "Some changes that are planned so far for this edit". The rank thing is on it, though accompanied by a comment about not being too bothered with it. Considering your comments, I guess it belong more properally under "things I won't be doing". Which is a shame, it being an error in the movie. Anyway, I'll stop whining now (since it's your edit, not mine) and settle with saying that you would make this one fan happy if you did it.

Btw, I love the new screen shots on page one. The one of Luke and his hand in particular. That's another thing that has bugged me. Great work, ady!

Yeah it's just a shot or two, and who knows, if you are nice he might still alter it even though he says otherwise.

The main original error in ESB only that the rank bars were on the wrong sides in flipped shots, but they corrected that for the DVDs, but in ROTJ it still does need work. Somehow it looked as if Piett had been demoted in ROTJ because he had less rank blocks, even he still was Admiral.

Ady, I know you said the X-Wing on the landing platform is not needed, but could you put the X-Wing in the background of this shot below somehow? That background matte really is kinda bland IMHO

Any plans to replace the content of this window below?

http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y167/celluloid_jam/Screen_Captures/Star_Wars_ESB/ESB_500-999/?action=view&current=SW5ESB_971.jpg

And also there appears to be a window they pass in the shots below just before going into the dining room, will anything be done with this one? It's seems out of place because it seems the dining area is too close to it in the configuration of the sets.

http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y167/celluloid_jam/Screen_Captures/Star_Wars_ESB/ESB_500-999/?action=view&current=SW5ESB_949.jpg

And here once they are in the dining room is another partial window.

Ady, Where this building/Wall is in the next shots?

-Angel

That's a great question! I also wonder if his clouds here will match the fly through shots just before the falcon lands, it would be much harder to change the clouds in those shots because of the movement, and I also wonder what he is doing about the large building in the SE behind the platform during to approach just before it lands, it would be hard to erase because of movement, or maybe it's not perfectly lined behind the platform maybe it's that tallest building he added to the far right on the edge.

lol How is it obnoxious? I like it as my siggy and thats were its staying soz. BTW Ive tried multiple times to make it my avy and has hasnt worked. Its THAT important that you have to go off-topic about someones sig? Move on dude.

Back to Empire:

When Han is put into Carbon Freeze, he's wearing a tunic style shirt but when Han is frozen, he's wearing the shirt from ANH. Then in ROTJ when Han is unfrozen, he's wearing a double breasted shirt. Can this be fixed up at all or is that to complex?

I have studied that shirt, and the shirt he is wearing when he is lowered in the carbonite pit is the same as when he is unthawed in ROTJ, watch and study it.

But while he is frozen inside the block, the collar outlines of the shirt look more like the ANH shirt.

I wonder why Ady got rid of pretty much all the orange reflection on the floor when Leia, Lando, Chewie and R2 pass by the railing. Surely the scenery would reflect a bit of that sunset color on the floor? I know he was correcting the reflections which were transparent. I know it doesn't need to be as much as before but it seems it needs a little bit of the orange reflection.

Ady are you waitin for the exact anniver. of ESB to release the trailer or it's anniver month? Which would mean May 1st, of course!

The following shots have blue skies. but yes some other clouds are always welcome.

Yeah blue skies are fine, being that you used the shot of Leia's building when she paces in the window,  I was just pointing out that the clouds patterns would need changed to keep them from being repeated.

vaderios, my jaw just dropped! WOW!!!! Great job! Rendering a still image is one thing, making it look good in motion is another. I am trying to think how he could do an element of Luke walking, it would obviously have to be a stand in, unless he can find some outakes of Mark walking and making them distant would hide imperfections. Hmmm.

Like i said to show luke is not necessary. The background and the foreground images are easily animated to gain some life.

Besides the full image is in 1080p so if ady use it he can play with the zoom and pan scan.

Has anyone addressed Luke's disappearing X-Wing ladder on Dagobah? I didn't see it listed on page 1.

In ANH, there's a tech there to remove the ladder, but in ESB...Luke climbs the ladder to the cockpit, then it's suddenly gone. Any plans to make it "retractable" or anything?

Great point, and I'd like to see that one background tweaked where Luke is first seen in Cloud City to show his  X-Wing  on a landing platform.

Each to their own! As was said, its Adys edit. Thats like some models saying that they dont like to show their boobs as its better to leave it to the imagination but Id rather see the boobs. Just like here (no I dont wanna c the wampas boobs), Id prefer to see the wampa. If you were there, wouldnt it be scary seeing the wampa come after you? (Not if you're a future Jedi!)

Yes but weve seen what the Wampa looks like for years, kinda hard to put the cat back in the bag. I don't mind shortening the scene a bit, but to expect me or most people to forget all memory of what I saw hundreds of time is ridiculous

Exactly! Sometimes the way he holds his head it almost seems as if his expressions change on the mask, even though they don't. Notice how different his helmet looks when he is looking downward like in his opening scene in ANH.

Its funny that! I mean in ESB the helmet-mask is changing all the time because are different helmets. I agree with you that in this particular scene looks pissed off like that the helmet isnt placed correclty from the rush :P

See this: http://thepropden.aokforums.com/esb-and-rotj-vader-helmets-what-do-we-know-vt2464.html

See all pages ang will be amazed how different look the helmet only in ESB. Epesially page 3

Yes, this page shows the differences too http://starwarshelmets.com/

I think the Vader shot is fine as is (In his chamber) the helmet looks different because it's angle is a bit different and his posture is leaning slightly forward. Other than in the duel scenes (Done by Bob Anderson), I've never heard or read that anyone but David was ever in the suit during ESB filiming.
