If nothing else, we were beaten over the head with Rontos in the SE. There were 4 DIFFERENT Rontos wandering around Mos Eisley:

1. The one the Jawas are riding

2. The one that walks in front of the Landspeeder and sandtroopers

3. The one that walks behind the Landspeeder (the one Sevb32 was talking about)

4. The one that the Landspeeder passes as it heads to the Cantina. It's later seen in the background as they get out of the Landspeeder.

(Truth be told, there are 2 more in the background in a long shot)

Ady removes all of these except for #4. We really only need to see one of these. That was just overkill on Lucasfilm's part.

 

I don't really see it as overkill, to me it's kind of like saying all those horses in westerns were overkill. But like I said, just that one being deleted bothered me.

This is what Sevb is talking about. Either Ady didn't like it, or I suspect he lacked the elements to add it behind the aforementioned Ronto Butt since all those elements had to come from a pre-SE source, so he had to delete it here.

 

Yes this was the one I was talking about, it's at the end of the scene, the dialogue is over with, so it doesn't distract from it. The trooper on the left backs up revealing it, almost as if it was always meant to be there, seeing it gone, I miss it now. But overall that's pretty much the only deletion that bothered me.

Anyone know that Slave gal's name? She have a website?

That's what I worry about, Lucasfilm has been nice enough to let it go so far, and I so hope they continue to do so.  They are not always consistant either, they might let things go on for years then all sudden send out a cease and desist, and that worries me. I hope they let fans have fun with these films, no profit is being made.

I just put a muzzle on myself.

It does as I indicated in my posting but those observations are still true even in Ady's greatly improved version.

The far wall still looks like an interior wall and not really like an exterior one and there isn't much (other than tinkering with it's reflective properties) that can be done about it.

It was designed to be inside and in the SE it was turned into an exterior wall, Lucas's first attempt had the silly low railing and the see through shadows (which Ady has skillfully fixed) but it also reflected the tint on the far wall which Ady's version doesn't do so much (sure the sky is different and much better) but perhaps a little tweak would turn an already better version into an even better one.

But there is only so much that can be done with the set as it originally was.

These are my examples of how, if a certain building is re-used in same shots or different shots, it doesn't coincidently look exactly the same, differing window light patterns, not all the same lights are off or on. This breaks up the monotony and makes things not look so cloned. Something to consider. All 4 of these are different. This was quickly done to suit my point.

It's obvious that balcony used to be a closed wall because why would they leave an open entrance into cloud city from outside. Doesn't it rain on cloud city? PErhaps this could be changed to look more convincing.

Those of us who have seen the trailer like what they see.

If you can use your hand to force knock someone down, why not your foot too? But this could easily be fixed with today's technology

Another point I'd like to make is this, if you are gonna reuse cloud city buildings for other shots, or twice in the same shot, make them have different lights on, not exactly the same, that way it doesn't look like an exact duplicate. It would an amazing coincidence that a similar building has all the exact same window lights on or off. Tweak those lights to be different.

This is perhaps getting a lil nitpicky but there are two small antennas of some sort on Leia's building that are not seen from the other side when she is seen walking in the window. Can they be erased?

Seriously, I think with some things it's ok to be "romantically" correct rather than "physically" correct.

The humans look too ordinary.  I am fine with there being snakes and lizards like our in SW Universe. I believe the SW Universe has pretty much all the animals we have and many more as well.

Let me tell you guys, after what I just saw my chin should have rug burns. WOW!!!!! I am getting together a larger donation  for Ady within the next few weeks.

I'm still begging for (Chewbacca) Peter Mayhew's shoe soles being covered up somehow with cg somehow, in a couple of shots u can clearly see them.

I missed it, thanks. I just read back 15 pages and didn't find anything, just that it would be released two weeks from last thursday which would make it just over a week off, I heard earlier that donors would get it earlier but I don't recall him saying they'd get it as early as this Thursday May 14.
