COUNT DOOKU
Time
HGF as far as the Luke falling in ESB goes, I don't think he used the force to slow his descent there, but he was "sucked" into that pipe. I don't think he had either the presence of mind or the skills at that point to use the force in that way (also why didn't he use it when he falls from that antenna onto the "Falcon"; that looks so painful...). However I do agree with you in theory that it would work.

MORE CHANGES!!! (for the 2004 OT DVD release)
Time
"but they should also do it for Obi Wan and Yoda. think it would look like this:
lloyd, christensen, shaw; mcgregor, guinness; CGI yoda, puppet yoda."

Fantastci idea! Yes, they could all be sitting there with their arms on each others shoulders, and just to make it even more confusing we could have Mr Lucas himself sitting in the middle. Wouldn't make any sense, but at that stage who would care?!?

What is wrong with Return of the Jedi?
Time
ESB and ROTJ seem more "stylish" to me than the earlier ANH. I think that is why I like them better in some ways too. I definitely like ESB best, it has so many great elements; the introduction of the Imperial March alone is almost enough to justify this IMO. And Vaders helmet seems so much shinier in ESB than the other two! Hmmm perhaps I have an unhealthy fixation there...

When Han Solo was Frozen in Carbinite How did he survive so long without Water ?
Time
"they do perform cryogenic freezings now in real life, so they must have something worked out."

Actually I am quite certain that they can't reanimate the person. They freeze the body in the hope that in the future we may be able to figure out how to bring the person back to life. I believe one of the biggest problems is that the brain dies when it is completely frozen. It is true that the body can survive for longer when it is very cold, even though the person appears to be dead, because the metabolism slows down to a point where it almost stops, but we are still talking only an hour or so, not years. It is something scientists have spent many years and huge amounts of money researching (I beleive that many celebrities have left their fortunes to this research in the hope that they will awaken alive and well sometime in the future), but at this stage it is still a pipe dream I think...

The idea is that the carbonite put's him into a state of hibernation, IE slows down his metabolism enough so the his body burns very little energy. So he can survive for a long time without eating or drinking, just like a bear, which hibernates for several months and doesn't eat or drink. So remarkable as it is it does happen!

Actually I would have thought the first thing he would want to do when he was released was visit the bathroom...

Last line of episode 3?
Time
I can't imagine what it would be like to watch the trilogy for the first time starting with the new movies first. I would definitely say watching the OT's first would be better, but I would be very interested to see how people reacted to seeing them with the new ones first. I think it would take alot away from the OT's; You woul know who Luke and Obi Wan really are, as well as C3PO and R2D2; And the whole scene introducing Yoda would be ruined; The "I am your father" scene would be a waste of time; The Emperor would be less interesting as we have already met him; Not sure how you would react to Boba when he first appears; and there are probably a few other things...

But like I said, it would be interesting to hear from the perspective of someone who watched the prequels first; did they find them believable? Did they seem to fit in with the OT's in terms of story or was it obvious that they were added as an afterthought? Questions noone who saw the OT's first can really answer without being biased.
