So whar are these spiders called?

Arachnids

arachnoids

arachnazoids

arachnomorphs

freakazoid

they need an official name for the end credits.... Thats a few ideas of what they could be labeled as... Anyone have a good name for them? Assuming it can be pulled off....

Seems like a bit of fun to give them a name proper

the word zoid is relevant also

Ady if you have the receipt for the camera purchase then that proves they screwed up the insurance details... If you do not have a receipt then this could be difficult.

How different is the serial number to the one supplied... Basically if the serial number is correct then you can prove a match to the model number. the serial will only correspond to your model.... If you never had to supply a serial number then these people are con artists

wwhat type of insurance is it product cover or just home contents as a camera is a portable device their offer could be considered more than reasonable

It would be great if a live stream could be done with a chat box off to one side but that is probably asking the impossible.

Adobe flash media encoder is free and could work to achieve setting up the video for a live stream it is a problem perhaps finding a service to host it would be the main barrier.

But I will suggest a spoiler thread be set up for peoples reactions and discussion.

How much pausing and rewinding on a first watch will you do not to mention watching something again and again after finally watching it all the way through undisturbed. So you could treat it as a race of who will get to the end of the movie first.

It's this stuff if it is possible of course that i love about these movies...

I love monster flicks and creature fx.

stop motion, puppet or cgi?

My gut feeling says this will be CGI... Now Alanfae proved a technique of dropping frames to achieve a stop motion effect on fully animated CGI on grievous in ROTS. Speak with him on how he achieved this effect of making a fully animated CGI asset appear to be stop motion by dropping frames. Seeing as it will be composited in spider it won't effect the rest of the footage to add in this effect in this scenario. But it is something worth considering as it looked cool.

So i would like to say i am 100% behind this idea kudos to you i hope you can pull it off!

Luke skywalker and the spiders from Dagobah...

Just for kicks...

BTW the smoke on Dagobah is dry ice... Better to go digital smoke layer for smoke here dry ice is a pain in the arse, expensive and won't work with miniatures probably due to it's nature of how heavier than air it is. Also storing it is a real problem it will still melt gradually in a freezer. Unless you can store it at about -14 degrees.

Normal smoke for atmosphere sure but not the ground smoke.

Idea: 'Final Approach' 1991 - Anyone done a good laserdisc preservation project?
Time

Sorry i don’t have a laserdisc player or know how to do a preservation

But as a suggestion this film i thought was enjoyable and was never released to dvd… It has a VHS and laserdisc release only.

For the laserdisc team perhaps a project that could be very good as it has been abandoned…

Anyway I thought i would put the idea out in the right place

can't see the wood for the trees... :)

Trees look great!

is it shrink wrap coated in something?

Hmmm so how will you get that moss stringing vine effect going???

Never did much with models myself but have always admired good works of art but I would imagine frayed string could work in some capacity?

Anyway I don't have a clue when it comes to models but It is certainly very exciting to see these types of things being done.

One More Variant Remix....Idea

And My own Design... I did it a while back... I am not the best at art but this one is for fun anyway... Some people liked the idea so I have now taken it a step further... But it has taken me ages to get it to this point... If anyone wants to edit this and improve it be my guest. THIS IS FULL SIZE DIMENSION FOR PRINTING.

Based on the original poster... I tried to capture the boldness of this below...

And I apologize (Eyeshotfirst)  in advance to anyone else who's assets I used to make this  up... But would gladly see someone with better art skills remix what I have done. I have done my very best with this it has taken me all day...And some.. I won't be doing a Blu-Ray Version the discs are the same size so If you like this and want to use this you still can.

It is a paradox...

If you put a subtle activation Beep when Lobot walks past them when his head flashes ... Then when chewie looks over his shoulder we hear the activation beep again but in the background this would help suggest what is going on. And chewie senses something is up because that lobot dude double backed.

It rams the the idea that he back tracked home.

As for Han and leia switching sides it's unfixable

Ady Tweaked the windows here also... If a flip is done perhaps on the section outside the dining room in the shot it could be flipped horizontally from Lando to Chewie and resized under the masking..

But then you won't see Lobot...

So how about flipping the shot where Lobot goes up the stairs it's an easier fix?

This sorts out Leia and Han not switching sides while walking but causes a problem at the dining room Door.

Paradox detected...

Ok conclusion on this....

As they leave the waiting room the first shot on their walk should be flipped horizontally for continuity.

The Shot where lobot appears the section outside the door to the dining room needs to be flipped and perhaps Han moved over to the left also a bit.

Later, we see him coming from the right in this shot.

My suggestion is either (not sure which I'd prefer):

A) Only flip Lobot in the background in that last image so he's coming  from the left (where we saw him walk towards just moments before).

B) remove Lobot from that previous shot (or replace with someone else who doesn't look like the cyborg) since he has little reason being there anyway (unless he's fetching stormtroopers - but again, the direction that he comes from is inconsistent). He wouldn't have had time in this scene (nor would it make sense) to walk one way, then walk to the other side, and finally come in from the opposite direction.

That is one that is misleading... It could of course be a roundabout hall so in effect Lobot spotted them went and got the troopers and came around the other side...To spring their arrest.

I don't see anything too fundamentally wrong... With the Lobot positioning but now having looked at it... It would be a nice touch if his cyborg head band activated as he went up the stairs with that beep activation quietly in the background.

It would be a subtle "whats that?"

*SE Windows stop it from being a roundabout hall*...

The doorway section of the shot could be flipped keeping the actors in the correct locations..

Or remove the special edition window.

I would personally like to believe that most people state an honest opinion on what they deem to be a problem, error, continuity issue or simply an edit or cut because of a reason that is given to make it sit better or perhaps work better.

The very real deal here is Ady having to be judge and jury and to decide if what is being said makes sense to him... Or if he sees it totally differently.

Star Wars can be interpreted in so many different ways it can appear muddled when it is in fact not but on the flip side of this it can appear to be fine when it is in fact muddled.

Question for you guys, how many doors/entrances do you think are in that Cloud City room where Lea is pacing around by the window? Originally, I used to think there was just one, but not long ago I realized that there are actually two. The first one is where Han walks in, and the second one I believe is where Chewie and later Lando walk in. Whether it is meant to be 1 door or 2 doors, I see an error either way and when I get time, I'll try to map them out in case it's worth looking into.

I actually just ran across the conversation about this... I guess it is accepted that there is a problem here......

I am going to assume because Ady pointed it out that it is in hand... And there is no direct consequences here if nothing changes

Ady knows a lot more than he let's on... Sometimes he also drops hints in his footage :)

But not about this :)

We have all seen the films so there is not any surprise left unless it is an edit you don't see coming....

For me the OT is the main part of it for revisited.... Apart from filming a new set of PT movies it is a wreck.....

A prequel story would suffice 1 movie done well in the style of the OT

The surprises being left in are for people who are new to the franchise. I know.....the idea that anyone hasn't seen Star Wars is asinine...I know >_>

There are lot's of people out there that have not seen Star Wars either because it's not what they are interested in or because they just have not seen it yet.

The thing is someone who has not seen Star Wars yet is very unlikely to see a revisited version before seeing the the Special Edition first... Unless like Emanswfan says you introduce it to someone who has not seen it.

So although it is a nice thought Leaving in surprises of what might have been or what should have been in most cases the surprise will have been ruined already unless the story is changed.

But what you are saying about this rings true that the PT had no real twists in the plot...or any attempt of a plot twist was so poorly executed you could see it coming from a mile away and then it just happened and... I was like "yeah, I knew that"

As for Luke's Noooo! Nooo! my response to you is

The Empire Strikes Back:

And even a temporary Return of the Jedi with many things to be changed in a couple years! :

I love the classic poster artwork!  If I had the skills, I would love to paint something new, but alas, I do not....

This Empire Strikes Back cover is Nigh on perfect.... The only gripes I have is the box on the back for the blue text and too much description... If you could remove that and just put white text above the description then I think It would be an improvement...Also there is far too much text in the description Shave it back a bit and I think it will be even better cutting off above Vaders shoulder.... Any chance of a tweaked version?

Another idea is to remove the kiss from the small bar on the back and replace with something else because we have the kiss on the front.

I love the classic poster artwork... Have you thought of filling the small bar with Mcquarrie art?

How about this?

I like it that much I did a Remix.... But It's worth a thought... I am not that great at art but I hope you like this different take on my favourite cover here.

I'm sure you could do a better job than I have but it's an idea anyway.

I did another one which is more of a departure on the back and I am a lot more pleased with this one... Hope you like it...

The only thing that needs to be shown is dookus death this could happen on geonosis and grievous could escape while dooku dies....

While this blurs the line between the films... It would be the option i would take....

I don't have any taboos when it comes to the pt.... But i am not keen on it....if it could be made better than i Would feel different.

That is an honest opinion too.... But that does not mean i don't appreciate what you are doing
