STAR WARS: EP V &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - <strong>12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW</strong>
Time

I'd prefer to think of Boba Fett as a Hunter that stalks his prey I guess...

The problem is the approach on the Alderaan / death star in ANH...

The falcon can track a ship following it in a group of inanimate asteroids... Bobba fetts ship is no different from this scenario in ESB.

So without using any logic at all the magic cloak solves it all... No matter what anyone says.

And then we don't have to make guesses about how what who where or why... It just is that way. Rather than ????

I always thought Boba fett reached Bespin after the Falcon

Oh yeah I thought it was from ANH....

Well then it makes no sense that Slave 1 could possibly follow the falcon without detection what a ridiculous predicament.

So Captain Needah is a buffoon who get's force choked a few moments later... I actually don't care what he says... He actually believes that they used a cloaking device and is shocked by this.

The Deathstar was "Too big to be a spacestation"

The x-wing in the swamp was "Too big" to lift with the force

Darth Vader killed Anakin until he became "I am your Father" plot

So Captain Needah saying that line don't mean squat.

Also considering he also says "we don't need their kind" in reference to the bounty hunters when obviously Boba Fett is the only one crafty enough to catch Han out... Do you think we should remove Boba Fett chasing the falcon?

Of course not... Nothing that guy says matters he is a fall guy who gets it all wrong no problem with it.

@Darth Solo - Slave 1 is a lot bigger than a tie fighter though... Just saying if you are referencing approach on Alderaan. So it is plausible in that sense.

you could fit the cenral cockpit of a tie fighter many times into the size and shape of Slave 1

Too true but other than visually expressing it there is no other way to show something like that... Also I would not want it to look exactly like star trek no way!!

I had one more idea for this section and that would be to see the bounty hunter ships departing apart from Slave 1. But it's not neccesary and it's also a lot of work but to see the ships the bounty hunters fly depart would be a very nice touch. But loads of work probably.. for little more than to see these ships realised. Shame they were never in the movie especially the hounds tooth is my favourite out of the cut ships.

Bossk - Hounds Tooth

Dengar - Punishing one

Zuckass +4-LOM - Mist Hunter

IG-88 - IG2000

But I can honestly not give a damn about it an idea like this in the same breath and say oh well.

This is perhaps like a bit of a radical idea... But when Slave 1 pursues the falcon out of the junk after we see it do a pass by the camera and we are treated to a view of the boosters... Would it be a good idea to see it activate a cloaking device?

The thing is how else does slave 1 follow the falcon in pursuit without it being detected... So if we saw it kind of vanish and distort then it would be quite another trick Boba fett has in his arsenal of coolness. In stealth mode so to speak.

example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpF3D11qmKo

The cockpit shot is perhaps unaffected or a slight distortion added to starfield to make it plausible if needed.

Actually thinking about it the idea that Slave 1 follows the falcon through deep space undetected without a cloacking device is more radical. If I remember right more distance has been put between the two ships which is good but perhaps that could be a good idea for a final touch... The Cloak or stealth mode thing?

RE:Away with the Junk video the hyperspace does not make sense... Because the falcons hyperdrive not working but I guess that was a joke :)

I doubt there is any opportunity for the seismic charge anywhere even when Slave 1 flees cloud city... But it would be cool if it could make it in ROTJ somehow....

I gave over quite a few audio suggestions a while back whilst scanning over Empire Strikes Back and others have too but wether they get implemented is another matter.

Not going to list anything now but I am sure if it was noteworthy then it may be considered.

Empire Strikes Back though has the most audio changes between Special edition and the Original Theatrical release... So I am really looking forward to what audio we get from which film version other than what has been confirmed in first post.

As well as perhaps some extra sound effects changes which were submitted over the last 3 months or so in this thread.

I agree that the Audio is very important and empire has a lot of choice and differences as well as opportunities in audio enhancement.

BTW just checked Slave 1 sound... Agreed on that muddy it's a good call.

lol can't wait to see it!

I am making loads of mistakes today.. That shot I mentioned comes before this new shot... I watched the clip on you tube is there 2 shots of tiny luke or just the one? because there are 2 shots of the AT-AT blowing up.

Although this being an edit it could be different nevermind don't answer it....I don't want it ruined.

Pretty Amazing that Mark Hamil has let the project know he has an eye on what is going on... Also that he thinks the prop really looks like what he used.

To think that people who were in the movie original would watch the revisited version is testament to where it is and what a service it has done so far with a new hope revisited.

I'd say it deserves a congratualtions... :)

really good

He wasn't commenting on the prop. The guy who was standing in for Luke in the 2nd unit knows Mark Hamill (and Harrison for that matter) and he told him about Revisited and  that we were inserting a shot of Luke where he should be seen as the AT-AT topples over after Luke blows it up and he commented that it was brilliant and joked that he had always wondered where he had disappeared to.

Ah sorry I was confused by Macs comment... Nevertheless it's still great they know about it now and will hopefully give it a watch lol...

Although that shot is important where Luke disappears the next shot where he is lying face down and looks up with the mini AT-ST the same height as his head and bad background is even worse... That's being altered too so this will have so much more impact together. Double whammy on that one!

Yes certainly good to hear the final stretch is on... If it does not make it this year then... It would be a shame but I would rather that there is no pressure put on for making it happen that is excessive... Although working under pressure can achieve some things some of the time.

ESB Revisited has had a very long development cycle... I think this has gone in it's favour also... Because it seems that no stone has gone unturned and all has been said everything has been ever so fleshed out.

I actually can not wait to hear the initial plans for Return of the Jedi Revisited and what direction it will take...There will be a good load of dust kicked up when that starts... Now we just wait... Starting that thread now though would be too much of a distraction perhaps....

The Hobbit (2014) - Resource and idea thread
Time

Has anyone seen the CGI Dragon Smaug for part 2 of the hobbit?

Terrible CGI... Like a real bad art direction being taken on the creature effects... Calling for this person to be sacked immediately and repair this franchise.

It's written in stone... Fundamentally flawed on a visual effects level.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLgnkRxlKCg

Coming to think of it any camera that you use where you have to change the colur of everything so it looks normal when filmed is a bad direction to undertake...

This is a real mess with a significant price tag to go with it.

Idea: An Oblivion Fan-edit?
Time

Does anyone know of or is anyone planning on doing a fan-edit of Oblivion?

There is a few things I would personally change in this movie… But not much…

I would probably remove the history opening narrative and start with the lines to the effect of… My name is Jack I repair drones section.

Remove the sequence of the bubbleship being struck by lightning.

Add some of the deleted scenes I saw no reason for most of them to be cut…

Anyone else got any ideas…

If there was a way to make the plot unfold more mysteriously and less cliched also.

Just ideas really at the moment.

Somone elses ideas…

http://its-that-one-guy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/idle-fanedit-ideas-oblivion.html

I think the best approach would be to leave the flight recorder and flashbacks of odyessy mission to the end… And remove the flashbacks of Jacks wife from the begining the first glimpse should be in the dream he has of his wife that he jettisoned.

The football field does need atrim but the alternative footage would be good to use.

I think this film is begging to be fanedited actually… There is a much better film waiting to emerge I there are some clean cuts to achieve this.

David Lynch's - DUNE - The Third Stage Edition (Released)

I looked for the spicediver redux and could not find it....

Can you help me out there Bingo?

I don't think the elements you mentioned need to be changed but I do agree with having an Adywan style makeover... One can only dream... I would rather he did this than the star wars prequals... But perhaps he does not like this film enough to care and would even think about devoting time to this... I would hope somone out there would take up the challenge perhaps using the spicediver redux if it is indeed as good as you say it is as a template.

God it would be epic though.

Just watched Oblivion today....

I really enjoyed this film a lot... Yeah it was cliched and did take ideas from other places but it had some of it's own original ideas mixed in....

I watched it on bluray and it looks and sounds great... The music score I think is phenominal... Best score I have heard this year and it helped carry the film well.

Despite what reviews have said and people say watch moon instead... It's better...

I think Oblivion was a great film in it's own right and I would reccomend it highly as brilliant sci-fi in terms of design and visuals and sound... Plot is also pretty good... And although it seems borrowed it was written in 2005 apparently before moon... I have seen moon and it does have the edge on Oblivion in some ways but not in others...Oblivion has a broader scope than moon and well you can really imerse in the entertainment and the visuals and music Blow Moon out of orbit.

Kosinski is good.

Gee whiz, this one is really taking a long time (assuming I understand correctly and it isn't done yet)! I thought it was supposed to be released in April of last year...

What's taking so long? The first one was awesome, and I really want to see this one and ROTJ:R.

There were a number of personal setbacks.  It is now scheduled for the last quarter of 2013.

I hope you don't mind waiting a while for the next one, as Adywan will be working on RotJ:R, ANH: R HD, and all the prequels at the same time.  But, assuming what he has planned is viable, it should be worth the wait  :)

The most important one on that list is ROTJ....

And I hope more resources are focused on completing the OT Revisited rather than the PT Revisited... But that statement actually did concern me... It made me go over the prequeal trilogy to see what was there in terms of trying to make them actually good films but I came away feeling defeated and that the whole prequeal trilogy actually needed to be redone and overwritten... My conclusion was to try to tell one good story in one film perhaps just over the 2 hour mark...

There is little in these PT films in comparison to the OT story worth telling.... Where the hangup is is that the prequal must also be a trilogy because the original films were a trilogy. This was where it failed and jumping too far into the future with characters that were not nearly developed enough in the first film.

I stamped it unsalvageable... Even every PT edit I have seen is still no good and nothing to do with peoples editing skills because the films are no good. Sorry I don't hate them they are just never going to reach the same standards of the OT because of the acting is of a very low caliber.

Unless you replace the acting i.e. most of the main characters It is not going to improve in any way drastically no matter how many special effects you throw at it.

And no discredit to the actors which are good actors it was the circumstances in which they had to act that prevented good performances coming through... Take Natalie Portmans performance in Black Swan.... She is a great actress... Ewan Mcgreggor in trainspotting... Great actor... Put these great actors perforiming with only a green or blue background with no sense of the world they ate in plus a director with complete creative control who has lost his original vision on the franchise he created was then... you seen the result....

I just watched the Master then Cloud Atlas and then Natural Born Killers...

I enjoyed all of them...

The Master is a brilliant film watch it! Best film I have seen this year

Cloud Atlas was long but enjoyable sunday romp.. I did not feel that it was that thought provoking though....

Natural Born killers was enjoyable but did not need to be so violent to get it's point over but I won't say that the film was bad and was some interesting stuff there although some of it don't work

Load of nonsense if you ask me... He was a lot of talk and no action...agreed to do cgi work and let us all down.

But he seemed ok.... So time marches on...

I'm still really looking forward to this Edit... And I am wondering how the filming of miniatures is going? or even if it has started... Not asking to see anything but hoping that things are going well... Because this stuff is perhaps more tricky than the mainly computer based stuff?

Jane Seymour what a Beauty!!!

I Loved the original series and I knew the new series was out and just dismissed it after watching a small amount of an episode and with the opinion that the original could not be beaten.

I eventually borrowed the pilot episode of the new BSG from a friend and after I watched it I went out and bought the complete series tin box set.

I have watched it all twice through for the new series I can honestly say that it is the best TV show I have ever seen yet.

It's much better than the original series... The acting is far superior.

@Bingo the ending was the best ending to any TV show I have ever seen and that is where it ends... The spin offs are just that and not canon in my opinion even though Caprica is ok it's just not nearly on par
