Penultimate episode! Things are about to get real!
Well, I finally got around to putting this together. Let me know what you think!

Just watched this and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for making it.
I think debates regarding what constitutes a “real fan” are silly. People have different tastes and varying amounts of free time and disposable income. But at the same time, if someone only likes one or two of the movies and dislikes the other nine or ten, at what point are they not a fan of the franchise and just someone who enjoys an individual movie or two?
Not saying you have to love all of it, but if you only enjoy 10% of something, are you really a fan of it?

It is a golden age. Intrepid hyperspace scouts expand the reach of the Republic to the furthest stars, worlds flourish under the benevolent leadership of the Senate, and peace reigns, enforced by the wisdom and strength of the renowned order of Force users known as the Jedi. With the Jedi at the height of their power, the free citizens of the galaxy are confident in their ability to weather any storm But the even brightest light can cast a shadow, and some storms defy any preparation.
When a shocking catastrophe in hyperspace tears a ship to pieces, the flurry of shrapnel emerging from the disaster threatens an entire system. No sooner does the call for help go out than the Jedi race to the scene. The scope of the emergence, however, is enough to push even Jedi to their limit. As the sky breaks open and destruction rains down upon the peaceful alliance they helped to build, the Jedi must trust in the Force to see them through a day in which a single mistake could cost billions of lives.
Even as the Jedi battle valiantly against calamity, something truly deadly grows beyond the boundary of the Republic. The hyperspace disaster is far more sinister than the Jedi could ever suspect. A threat hides in the darkness, far from the light of the age, and harbors a secret that could strike fear into even a Jedi’s heart.

(middle grade)
Vernestra Rwoh is a new Jedi Knight at age sixteen, but her first real assignment feels an awful lot like babysitting. She’s been charged with supervising twelve-year old aspiring inventor Avon Starros on a cruiser headed to the dedication of a wondrous new space station called Starlight Beacon.
But soon into their journey, bombs go off aboard the cruiser. While the adult Jedi try to save the ship, Vernestra, Avon, Avon’s droid J-6, a Jedi Padawan, and an ambassador’s son make it to an escape shuttle, but communications are out and supplies are low. They decide to land on a nearby moon, which offers shelter but not much more. And unbeknownst to them, danger lurks in the forest?

Padawan Reath Silas is being sent from the cosmopolitan galactic capital of Coruscant to the undeveloped frontier-and he couldn’t be less happy about it. He’d rather stay at the Jedi Temple, studying the archives. But when the ship he’s traveling on is knocked out of hyperspace in a galactic-wide disaster, Reath finds himself at the center of the action. The Jedi and their traveling companions find refuge on what appears to be an abandoned space station. But then strange things start happening, leading the Jedi to investigate the truth behind the mysterious station, a truth that could end in tragedy…

The Nihil take their reign of terror to the next level. Standing in their way are newly elevated Jedi Council member Stellan Gios, along with Padawan Bell Zettifar and an intriguing new character, the saber-for-hire Ty Yorrick, a Force-sensitive monster hunter with a mysterious past.
When Grogu eventually builds his lightsaber, it would be cool if that knob from the Razor Crest was part of it.
I thought it was time for an update.
Master list:
- The Mandalorian
- Rogue One
- The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
- Star Wars (1977)
Wow, Chapters 13 and 14 must have made it for you, Rodney! Congratulations to The Mandalorian on being bestowed the great honour of being #1 on Rodney’s favourites list.
It’s close, for me. Behind Empire… for the moment.
I’ve been thinking this since the middle of the first season. I talked about it more in the thread for The Mandalorian. I love all of Star Wars, but The Mandalorian makes me feel like a kid again. I love it.
Saw this posited on Reddit, and thought I might ask you all here: What do you think of the idea that Grogu’s eventual future is a turn to the dark side? He’s got attachment & fear, and has definitely used the Force for harming people (and enjoyed it).
I think we all have attachment and fear. We all have a dark side too. These things can never be entirely eliminated from our consciousness. We just need mental discipline and balance so those traits don’t overtake our decision making.
I guess it all depends on who Grogu’s mentor ends up being. Din Djarin may not be able to teach him about the Force, but he has a decent set of values, even though he has a lot to learn himself.
I have no idea what’s going to happen. The solution of what to do with Grogu isn’t obvious. I think that’s one of the things making the series so great.
Time to update my list.
I’m trying to hold back and make sure I’m not getting caught up in the hype, but The Mandalorian could be my favorite Star Wars content of all time. I starting thinking this last season, but held off to see if the second season was on par. Well, this second season in my opinion has surpassed the first.
I love movie theaters, nothing else like them, especially for a Star Wars movie. But there is also something special about a TV series coming into your home on a weekly basis. TV has it’s own nostalgia from when I was a kid, and The Mandalorian has tapped into that.
Things feel bigger and more intense in movies, but TV has the time to go deeper into characters and their world. I love all of Star Wars, and I’m not suggesting one part is more essential or definitive than another, just that The Mandalorian is the exact content I’ve been waiting decades for, and it hasn’t disappointed.
Some parts are better than others, but all of Star Wars is good.
Right now is the best time to be a Star Wars fan.
The future of Star Wars is bright.
Glad to see another sentient being on the same page of positive feelings for SW as me.
There are more of us.
Could it be just the natural lighting that make everything look less appealing to some?

I like the idea of using different directors while keeping the writing primarily with Favreau. Doing this will cause some to like certain episodes more than others, but I think there will be a little something for everyone. I like how fresh everything still feels every week. Each director has different strengths.
I loved watching Boba smash those Stormtroopers with a gaffi stick.
I can’t believe there are only two episodes left this season!
Diego Luna Confirms Cassian Andor ‘Rogue One’ Prequel Series Is Currently Filming in London
https://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2020/12/diego-luna-confirms-cassian-andor-rogue-one-prequel-series-is-currently-filming-in-london.html“Diego Luna revealed the untitled Cassian Andor Rogue One prequel Disney+ series is currently filming.”
“The series will also bring back Alan Tudyk as K2-SO, and has added other familiar faces as well. Genevieve O’Reilly will be reprising her role as Mon Mothma in the series. In addition, a number of new faces will join the cast. Adria Arjona, Stellan Skarsgard, and Kyle Soller are also on board.”
Diego Luna was on Kimmel talking about it:
The Mandalorian has set the bar so high for the other Disney+ series. If this Cassian Andor series is on the same level, then the activities of a Rebel spy could be very interesting. I love Rogue One. I’m anticipating this show more than anything currently announced, even the Obi-Wan series.
I also think its interesting that since we in the last episode we saw the magistrate block Ahsoka’s lightsabers with the beskar spear it’s very likely that Din will use it to fight Gideon and the darksaber.
I think he lost his rifle too. I think it was on the Razor Crest.
I was thinking it would be Bo-Katan who would fight Gideon. It would make sense for her to “win” the Darksaber from him, instead of having it given to her, if she is to rule Mandalore. But then again, she seems almost maniacally fanatic about it. Is she the right one to lead Mandalore? Has she changed somewhat? Could she become a villain of sorts? There’s just so many directions they could go with everything.
Did anyone else wonder why Boba Fett seemed to hate stormtroopers so much in this episode? He looked like there was a lot of anger behind it every time he hit a trooper with his gaffi stick.
Going inside a sarlacc has made him more intense.
I like that he is honoring his word to Din Djarin.
If we get to see a Boba Fett, Bo-Katan, and Din Djarin team up in a battle, that would be incredible.
I’m still in shock over the Razor Crest! I mean, we’re pretty certain Grogu is going to get rescued, but the Razor Crest is dust! I thought it was a signature part of the show. I guess nothing is guaranteed. Don’t get too attached to anything!
Random thoughts:
Din Djarin was really dreading the thought of giving Grogu to someone else. When (if?) he gets him back again, is he going to want to give him over to anyone or will he be more protective than ever?
I suppose they hope Mayfeld will have some knowledge from when he was an Imperial that could help them figure out where Gideon took Grogu.
The look on Cara Dune’s face! As if she didn’t hate Gideon enough, but when she hears he has Grogu. There’s no way she doesn’t join them. (How many people can fit in Slave 1?) Maybe Greef Karga has a ship? Do they recruit Bo-Katan too for a huge Mandalorian showdown?
Boba Fett really needs a new paint job.
I don’t think we see Ahsoka again this season.
Din Djarin must get a new ship at some point. I wonder what it will be.
Next episode is getting a group together and finding Gideon with the final episode as an epic battle. Will be interesting to see where everyone is at the end. Will they leave us with a huge cliffhanger before season 3?
Spoilers!
So much loss for Din Djarin in this episode! I said in previous posts I thought things were going too well and some adversity was coming. As soon as I saw the title of this episode, I got worried. No more Razor Crest! Was his awesome rifle destroyed too? I thought that was the “tragedy,” but then they snatch Grogu! And get away into hyperspace!
My only questions would be why didn’t Boba Fett get his armor from Cobb Vanth? It’s been a while.
I think more tragedy is coming before things get better. No one has died yet this season. I bet someone will.
This episode sure shook things up. I don’t think the series is in any danger of getting stale. Din Djarin has quite a formidable collection of friends who all love Grogu and/or hate Gideon. We could be headed to one heck of a season finale!
I wonder if anyone heard Grogu but didn’t arrive in time?
Bariss dies on Felucia in Order 66.
That was Aayla Secura.
