Well PAL region peeps diss NTSC for what resons i dont know. But damn dont judge how NTSC discs play in PAL dvd players of course its gonna be fucked up. NTSC never look gittery on my dvd player. If it dont bug me I dont care. Now that you guys say its gittery I will notice if it is gittery. LOL

...NTSC discs don't play in PAL players. The jitter is a result of the format itself and applies equally to NTSC broadcasts as to DVDs. NTSC has a framerate of 60Hz; movies are made at 24fps. That works out to 2.5 video fields per film frame, so they show alternating frames for 2 and 3 fields each. PAL has a framerate of 50Hz, so they just speed the whole thing up to 25fps and show each frame for 2 fields. Some find the speed-up more distracting; others prefer it to the jitter (you notice it most in shots with steady motion or panning — the first shot of any Star Wars film is one of the easiest examples).

There's also the inevitable fact that PAL has a higher resolution — 576 lines as opposed to 486, or fewer in both cases for letterboxed pictures.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

I can understand if the things Adywan is making will have sentimental value to him, but Ady, are you considering selling some of the props and miniatures you make to help finance the future of the Revisited project, once you're certain you're through with them? You might be skirting the law selling Star Destroyers or Millennium Falcons (I don't know the situation with people who make their own replicas and sell them), but something without a trademark would have no issues at all.

Ady's already changed that effect. There's an unfinished clip of it in the first post. I can understand if people don't want to read OVER 9000 posts on the topic, but when there's a list of changes and preview clips in the first post, can we PLEASE check that before asking if something is going to be addressed?

I entirely disapprove of the Times New Roman — I think both the official DVD releases and Revisited use Trajan in their logos, although the original 1983 ROTJ logos used all-caps Times — but I do like the actual poster design.

I'll be waiting until the movie's actual release to release my DVD cover design, but that's less interesting; as with my ANH cover, I'm using Drew Struzan's SE poster as the main image.

Couple of points Arkanian.

First, welcome to the boards.

Second, I can understand you didn't like some of the things Ady did, but saying he's acting like Lucas is a little uncalled-for. I don't think there are many here besides the man himself who agree with every single change he made, but we don't have to; while he posts here for feedback and incorporates some of our suggestions, it's his personal project. Furthermore, this is a fan-edit, and one of the things fan-edits often do is change the story. If in the story he doesn't get a medal, but Adywan thinks the story/film would be better if he did, then he gets a medal. Ady will be making considerable story changes when he gets around to Return of the Jedi and especially the prequels. I don't think Ady's versions will replace the originals for any of us; they might replace the SE as alternative versions.

As for asking that these things be addressed, I'm afraid Adywan does not intend to make another release of ANH:R, and no release could ever satisfy everyone. What you can do, however, is take his edit and make your own little changes (just be sure to give him the credit if you release it). The two examples you mentioned should be relatively trivial to change back.
