STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I was talking about TVs elsewhere and just remembered a "funny" memory involving ESB. Many moons ago (1994-ish?), I was playing the ESB game for NES on my little old black and white Sony TV. It was the AT-AT level. I started to smell something funny... Then there was a big SNAP and the screen went blank, followed by smoke coming out the back of the set. Lovely. :p

Despite my annoyance, I was somewhat amused by the situation and even drew a little something devoted to the occasion, which I can't find right now.

And you won't watch ANH:R just because it's in SD? So you only watch stuff that's in HD then? Limiting yourself a bit there.

That's an understatement. Reminds me of [and this is based on someone I know] a kid who goes into a video store, looks at the New Releases section, sees nothing that interests him, then leaves. Nevermind that there are thousands of good, slightly older movies on the shelves. (oh no! Slightly older!)

That same kid also refused to watch something I had on VHS because it was on VHS and wouldn't look as good as DVD. Nevermind that it wasn't available on DVD... He also won't play older video games because they don't look as good, which is lunacy.

Eventually, we will look back at current HD standards and think it's very quaint. That's just the way it is, and that really conflicts with some people's views on what is "good."

Google Image Search YOURSELF!
Time

I'm sure we've all done an image search for our usernames at one time or other. If you haven't, do so and share your favorite result[s] with us! (nothing dirty, of course)

Here's my favorite result when searching for 'ripplin':

The Ripplin River Boys! And I love bluegrass music, too! I'll have to see if they have any albums. :) (check out that awesome bass!)
