POOR KENDRY MORALES!

He hits a walk-off game winning grand slam in the 10th (his first career GS), then when he gets to homeplate, he is greeted by his team. He jumps into the air and then...they call the trainers cuz something is wrong. The crowd goes from cheering like crazy to silence. They just went to commercial and he's still sitting on the ground with his team around him.

Back from commercials and he's still down. Looks like a left ankle injury, maybe. The cart is there to bring him off the field. They would probably be going to another show by now, but they're staying with it. Ok, done now.

Whoever has Morales, hope for the best!

I seem to recall watching that sequence going "that's clever, the way they shot it, it looks like 3PO is heavy enough to make those grooves".

As I recall, Anthony Daniels is such an incredibly good actor (possibly the best the world has ever known, I'm sure he'd say!) that he allowed himself to be crushed and twisted inside the suit for those scenes. He then used some sort of self-taught massage technique to make himself normal again.

You've probably also got the issue that Ady would then be distributing the original published material; Lucasfilm/MPAA might not appreciate that.

I know what you're getting at, but do you think color correcting and adding/fixing stuff at home makes it not the original published material? He doesn't own them. They could shut him down any time they felt like it. (what would someone say? 'You'll be hearing from my lawyers, Lucasfilm!'? Heh.) We're just glad they haven't said/done anything in this regard. There have been a lot of straight laserdisc transfers and stuff as well which they've never said anything about. There have even been other split-screen comparison versions made.

If it wasn't done [by anyone] for ANH:R, I don't see it being done for ESB:R. But I'm sure he'd allow someone else to do it. But I think there were reasons why it wasn't done. (large sections of the 2004 version, such as the Jabba scene, being represented by nothingness in the ANH:R version, for example?)

ESB on a grain elevator ("dark years" stories)
Time

Here's an article I kept from early 1992, still during the "dark years" (the Zahn books were still pretty new; paperback was not out yet when this article was featured), when any Star Wars spottings were big news for me. :)

I kept other things over the years, but this is one of the more interesting ones.

Do you have any things/stories to share from this time period?

Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Time

I would imagine there have been lots, giventhat there are thousands upon thousands of discs out there. "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" comes to mind, with 4 different audio tracks (original unedited audio, 'what they were really saying' audio, book on tape audio, commentary) Is that the sort of thing you meant?

The EU is so much revisionist history. "Oh, look, shell casings in the movie. Uh, uh...yeah, they were always in the Star Wars universe. Yeah." :p

As much as I'm down on the EU... the fact there are shell casings in the movies and the shell casings are also in the EU... ... how is that a bad thing?

I never said it was a bad thing, did I? ;) But you must admit that they often change things for the sake of convenience, or years after the fact to fit with something else. Remember when Obi-Wan and Lars used to be brothers? Haha.

Just remember you are talking about a guy that read 10 400-page EU Star Wars novels in a span of two months (NOT recommended, cuz I could barely remember a thing a week later), so I have no problem with EU itself.
