RATHER rather nice! I'm looking into that now.

Update: I tried ordering the presentation pack, but to do so, I need to register. When I try to register, it won't let me get beyond the general info section because my phone number doesn't look like a UK number. :p Stupid site... I'm going to have to ask them how to get around that.

Wrong thread again!!! :p

Yeah, I see you pretty much derailed that thread a few posts in and turned it into an Ackbar picture thread instead of what the original poster intended it for.

Aw, snap.

I did so with the original poster's blessing.

Well, it is a fun thread. Maybe I'm just annoyed because I can't think of any misconceptions I had with the movies. :p Other things, yes, but I can only think of a couple of examples from pictures.

***The "Darth Editous" Episode IV DVD Info and Feedback Thread*** - a partially "de-specialed" DVD
Time

I know it's a weird program at first, but since most fan edits are not released as torrents, it really is the best way of getting them. You can set it and forget rather than babysitting the downloads. Before jDownloader, I'd be losing 7 or 8 hours of downloading time overnight, plus any time I just wasn't around the computer during the day. I even used to set the alarm on my watch so I could set up the next file to download without wasting any time. :p What might take half a day now used to take 2 or 3 days [or longer] sometimes!

Plus, we get massive speed from Megaupload, even as free users. I can get an entire DVD in a couple of hours or less.

Again, excellent work! I get a kick out of seeing the Betamax logos on there as well. :)

Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but how can one go about getting the discs when they are finished finished?

P.S. I'm looking through your site now. Impressive stuff! I especially like that Betamax "SPFX" box. I didn't know there was one. Very classy-looking. That one of "The Great Heep" is cool, too!

I'll soon be able to see some of the pictures people have been posting from The Making of The Empire Strikes Back, as I bought a new copy tonight through Abebooks for $48 from the U.K., free shipping. A guy at eBay has a used copy for $45...but I just found out he wants $33 to ship it. :p

Anyway, what little I've seen from it so far looks like it could be quite inspirational and potentially important for Revisited, what with the models and behind-the-scenes pictures.
It's great, except keep your eyes open for the SE shots masquerading as originals. I need to try to contact someone about that, it's revisionism plain and simple.

That's too bad. I would imagine Rinzler could've said 'I don't want to use this picture' if he felt strongly enough about it, but then again, he got a lot of cooperation from high sources. Wouldn't want to lose them by being difficult. :p

When I get the book, I'd love to compare notes with you, even if you just say 'look at this picture on that page,' etc...

I can't remember if it was mentioned before, but are there good pictures of the power generators in the book Ady could use for reference?

Just finished watching a documentary called "Heckled" and George Lucas was on it briefly. He said "There are two kinds of people in the world; there are creators and there are destroyers, and I prefer to align myself with the creators because I think they bring something positive to society."

I think know he's a bit of both. ;)

I love having the films I like in some touchable form, I don't like this whole download thing, I don't feel like I have a film unless I can touch it.

There are so many jokes here...

(For what it's worth, I agree with you Harmy when it comes to movies.  Music, however...)

Plus one on both

Hey Frink, you got a +1 here too! :)

is it possible that I'm feeling nostalgia for the 97 version?

Even though I objected to many of the changes, it was still the first time I got to see any of the Star Wars movies in a theater, so there will always be a warm place in my heart for the 1997 versions. :) That trailer with the TV was awesome, too. I can still get goosebumps watching that one.
