Wow, it sounds really natural when he says 'young Skywalker.' :) It's a shame there isn't a clip of McDiarmid saying Luke with the proper phlegm level. If anyone knows where he lives, maybe go to his door and say "sir, could you please say 'Luke' into this microphone the way you would as the Emperor?" Heh.

I had the same problem with RS once. I just cleared the cache, rebooted, then kept trying sporadically until it got normal again. :p

It just doesn't bother me that he (actually, that should be he/she/it) is different from in other films, that's all. ;) I'm fine either way. I've seen what some people have done with the McDiarmid performance and I know Ady will do a great job.

Hey Ady, I have a question that I don't think has been asked yet: if there was pristine footage of the original Emperor scene, would you use that instead of the McDiarmid re-do? I know I would.

Yeah, that's because I didn't touch them. Heh. But looking at it after all this, I think they look ok at such a distance, especially as it still shows a good contrast in color between them and the SSD.

Ooo, we're on the same wavelength for the coloring! :) Actually, I just made it so that it looked the way I remembered it: still blue, but not garishly so, like on the DVDs. And the window lights give it so much character.

That's great news about the monitor and quad core! I'm glad to have [just] helped, too. Let us know when you get the monitor. Maybe when you've set it up and all that jazz, you'll see how close it is to your original. Hope it won't feel too weird for too long. Haha.

I just did a quick one to make the coloring somewhere in between:

I like the blue windows/lights, so I did them separately. The body and tower have the saturation lowered 25 and the lights are lowered 15.

sgdelta1771, I love that gray Executor! Wouldn't mind a touch more blue in it, but yes, it looks pretty cool without so much color. If you don't mind, I might try a variation on the color and see what people think.

Wow, that player went for $110.27! That seems very good, especially as it has a demodulator with it, too.

You should try VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). It's small, efficient, and it plays almost anything.

It can be annoying, but I see more positives than negatives in my overall experience with it. I know I've gotten at least a dozen fan edits that way by now with no problems, so it's been good to me.

You should put your e-mail address for donations in your first post. Don't worry about how it sounds; we all know what's going on. If someone doesn't like it, they'll either just not donate, or they'll donate out of spite! ;) I know I will try to help when I'm able. Just give us a friendly reminder from time to time. (or we can do it ourselves, like right now)

Just a small thing, but how cool a fix would that be?! It's something I've always noticed, too. Well, not so much the actual sound, but the sync.

A similar thing has happened to me before. I would suggest that you clear your browser's cache. I think that fixed the problem for me.

Very nice, Ady. :) When I first heard you were doing ESB, I thought "I'm just going to wait until the final version is released and not look at any spoilers," but I'm too excited for that. I'm watching them all! Haha.

You know, it's not a new thought, of course, but we're so spoiled by these! I popped in my old 'faces' VHS of ESB the other day and it was DISGUSTING! I was shocked at how absolutely terrible it looked. It was like there was a dirty film layer on top of everything. It's hard to explain, but for ezample, I'd watch a Walker moving and the layer of dirt would move with it, like it was painted right on. Very odd. The matting looked awful, too. :p

Oh, and just curious about something: what was wrong with the flames in the probe droid crater?

He's probably recharging his batteries. (i.e., sleeping) He's probably past due for a mini hibernation.

Or maybe he's out wakeboarding! :o

Can you do a quick like cut and paste and see what the SD in the Hoth shot would look like under the Executor? Looks like it would be a little lost, unless the brightness level was adjusted or something.
