Info Wanted: What fan project set is this?
Time

Thanks for the answer, s7en. I do have that Definitive Collection disc, so that means I have the complete Row47 set...I think. (see immediately below)

You know what's funny, though? When I put those discs I put pics of up there into the computer, the name is always 'ED_SW_BONUS' or something like that. Why would it say ED if they aren't the EditDroid set?

So...I have none of the EditDroid bonus discs, I guess. I'm a bit confused now! :p (see immediately above)

Yes, I'd leave them black or sepia, but keep the omnidirectional light, to simulate a projector, as Nanner said.

As for Nosferatu, I'd try and go with the original theatrical cards. I mean, DVD releases shouldn't mean anything for such a movie. ;) Everything beyond the theatrical is just whatever company is releasing it felt like doing, not the director of the movie. To that end, did the theatrical cards have color in them, or all black or what?

I found when I first started getting Star Wars fan discs, I was reading too much and not understanding enough about which discs went with which set.

Are these EditDroid’s bonus discs?

Also, if these are EditDroid’s (which I think they are…), is there a fourth disc? Can someone show me what the menu of the fourth disc looks like, please?

Thank you!

I wouldn't color the cards, I'd just leave them either sepia or black all the time. They are supposed to be sort of "separate" from the movie, after all. To color them would make the transition a little smoother, which I think is a bad thing in a silent film.

As for the omnidirectional on the cards...I don't know. I think it would be better to judge if we could see a scene in action with omni versus non-omni cards.

Now, can we please go back to discussing more important matters, like that crucial snowflake that keep sticking to Chewbacca's foot like it's being held down by Krazy Glue? :)

Testify!

I know it only appears in one frame, but it still stands out like a sore thumb. I've done a screen capture to show the flake in question:

The weird thing is that they've been off Hoth for a long time at this point. And it only appears in the one frame, as far as I know, so maybe it was some sort of wacky ILM joke. I dunno, looks pretty obvious to me.

Makes me wonder about the grain of sand now...

ESB will probably have a larger bitrate because it will only have the 2 audio tracks unless i manage to find the DVD web commentaries, which isn't looking too good at the moment.

And like I suggested, if you haven't already, make a thread about it. People will bend over backwards to help you! ;)

Well, I think we all like Boba Fett, but most of us don't buy Lucas' explanations after the fact. He may have said that Fett was supposed to escape, but maybe that was after he heard so many people complaining about how he left the movie and thought 'oh, I better cover this up somehow!' He and LFL have twisted things around before, making things sound like it wasn't their fault, or that it was an executive decision. It's hard to know what's the truth with them sometimes, which is frustrating. I'll always love the series he came out with, but the man just can't leave well enough alone! :p

Yeah but he's alive in all the stories taking place after Return of the Jedi. It just doesnt make sence for him to die. He has a much bigger role outside of the movies, which is still important.

Yes, but as Adywan has stated many times, the "Expanded Universe" will not be a factor in his edits. Personally, I wouldn't care if he was in Jedi at all. Getting hit by a blind man with a stick, then flying through the air screaming like a girl is ridiculous.

I made a VIDEO folder on my SD card and also made sure it was in the VIDEO folder on my memory stick and it still didn't do somefin' or nuffin'. My PS3 has firmware 2.30 on it. Does it need something newer to recognize that format?

Instead of hitting X to open the SD card, hit TRIANGLE and select "Display All", this will show all the folders on your SD card and you should be able to navigate through them and find the file regardless of where you placed it.

I tried that and navigated directly to where the file is and it still says 'there are no titles to display' or whatever it says. I'll have to try upgrading the firware and see what happens. It's just not recognizing that file type, it seems.

"...and Return of the Jedi will have a new ending"

Hmm, is the Falcon gonna get blowed up? :p

I'd like to watch that Emperor clip, but VLC won't play it all the way through, Media Player Classic doesn't display a picture, and my PS3 doesn't seem to recognize it. Or maybe I'm not putting it in the right place on the memory stick or SD card? Or...does it need to be updated again?

Ok, VLC will play it, but not super consistently. Anyway, SO cool, Ady. Looks excellent. I wish you'd use that for ESB:R, but oh well. ;)

I just wish i could find someone who managed to record the starwars.com DVD commentaries before they were taken offline. I managed to find ANH and added it to the EpIV AVCHD but i'm missing the rest of the saga..

Hey, if anyone here deserves to make a thread solely to ask for something like that, it's you! I say go for it. If anyone has it, I'm sure they'd help you out in a heartbeat.
