STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

^True. At least we have the benefit of having those old, original scenes in the back of our minds, huh? George would prefer that the current generation forgets the originals entirely. (which reinforces that the GOUT was a surprise, no matter what form it was presented in)

With such an important scene as the Wampa capture/escape, I expect Ady will do something to at least make us go 'hmm...' ;) I'm sure it'll be cool. All new, constructive suggestions are still nice to hear, of course, even from newbies who like to bring old discussions back from the [what we thought was the] dead. Haha.

I'd like to know if there's any news in the fake fur or slug filming departments. :)

Star Wars: Renascent *** NOW AVAILABLE!!! ***

^Nope, that's new to me. Pretty funny. :) I kinda doubt he would've known about this guy, though, as he was a 17 or 18-year-old Californian kid when he made up the character. Lord Buckethead does predate the guitarist by a year or two, though.

I'll have to mention him at the Buckethead forum and see if any of our UK friends know him. Is the movie any good?

I really like the idea of the hallway leading to Vader's isolation room. I see him as way more depressed/introverted than the Emperor, so it's almost like a teenager that stays in his depressing room in the basement and broods all day.

Are there any schematics or whatever out there that show where Vader's room is on the ship?

I think another neat idea might be to have the door close really fast behind Piett, like those ones in ANH. He's already creeped out, plus, the door wants to kills him. Haha.

I really can't stand the set as it is and seeing the designs in The Art Of Return Of The Jedi just made me want to see something more like them.

I can't find any uploaded images around and taking my scanner out in my current home is like trying to get the Ark Of The Covenant out of Area 51.

The only 'Art of' book I have is ESB, so I don't know if I've seen the designs you're referring to. Could you just take a picture of them with a digicam and post those? (I've done that a bunch of times since my old scanner won't work on my new[er] computer) Or maybe if someone else is reading this, could they do a quick scan for us?

^I liked your briefing room, but honestly, I didn't have a problem with the original. The thing is, to me, it didn't have to look like the 'slapped together' places they'd used before so much because a lot of time had passed since the destruction of the first Death Star (meaning, uh...time to organize? New, richer allies?), and the fact that it's a big Mon Cal capital ship. I did like your mock-up of a darkened briefing room, but I liked the lit up one, too.

One thing that was quite cool about yours was the feeling of grandeur of the set. Very nice! The whole thing felt bigger and more important, so to speak. And using those mattes from The Black Hole was a nice touch. That movie really had some beautiful art design in it. :) I watched it recently for the first time in many years and I was impressed by a lot of it.

No. That is when the rough cut scene was released on the Behind the Magic CD-ROM. Or maybe it was '98. Feels like ancient history, when ever it was.

Behind the Magic is one of the coolest things they have ever released! I was going to install my copy again not too long ago, but the disc wasn't in the box. I know it's around somewhere, but...where?! :(

You know that between Boba's "air swim" and Luke's lightsaber, SOMEONE (probably multiple people) from ILM looked at this scene frame by frame several times and sill left the Force Kick in. I guess it would be harder to move someone in those days instead of just copy/paste today...

Hey, that film is loaded with goofy humor in the first place, so maybe they just thought it was funny and left it as-is. :p Or, as you say, it was harder to fix then, so it was a 'meh, it's so fast no one will notice' moment. ;)
