If the scene were to continue on, it would get more crushed as it started walking again, but it's pretty stationary at the time we see. It comes down and stays there motionless for a second or two. (it would be funny if it started rotating right and left, like it's squishing a bug) That leg would be slightly bent and the rest would be more or less straight.

Looking at the pics above, is "New officer" someone you know, Ady?

Yes, he's going to work on that. This is from Ady's 'to do' list in the first post: "17. Fixing bad composite of Luke leaping as his Snowspeeder is crushed."

Now, how he'd do that, I don't know. Just remove outlines? It's not as simple as that, I'm sure!

I definitely don't agree with the speeder being crushed by the walker. Slightly more crushed, maybe, but that's it. The foot hits the speeder at a relatively low speed and the walker is not leaning on it. It just sort of puts its foot down like we might step on an ant, which we do not put all our weight into doing either. The canopy is crushed and I think that's about all that would happen in that case. The speeder is pretty flat as it is and is presumably fairly strong.

Just think for a minute about the way an extremely stiff, four-legged machine would have to shift to truly gets all its weight into it. The vast majority of the weight is still on the other three legs.

Thanks for that, FF. I remembered the part about the Romulan ship being named a Bird of Prey (which made total sense, and it was a cool ship, too), but I didn't know many of those details.

You know what was another cool bird ship? Hawk's ship, from Buck Rogers. Really nice design. :)

Stupid Nero... ;) That was just one of the many things that bugged me about the movie; the Romulans were bland, American thug types that could be plopped in any Vin Diesel action movie. Hell's Angels with pointy ears.

That writer's error thing is crazy, huh? Surely someone should've picked up on that and said 'hey, we can't call them that. Fix it.' And then use the same wrong term in the movie?!

But in all honesty, I thought the ships were named differently at some point well before the Enterprise series. But when?

Nice job with the Fisto and whoeverthatis removal, Vaderios. :) And I know that it can be done in video, too, even just thinking of the incredible job Darth Editous did on ADM's "Superman Redeemed" in getting rid of Gus in one scene. You'd never know he was ever there.

Yeah, I seem to remember in the EU background stuff that Windu is some 12th dan purple belt ninja Jedi whose force ability borders the dark side without actually crossing into it? Some super aggressive, unorthodox style? I dunno. Whatever.

I like the blue lettering. The whole thing is busy enough as it is, and the blue is a bit more subtle, which is good.
