Nice one! :) The shortened probe droid shootout looks/feels quite different just by shortening it.

The thing with the thing, or the stuff?

Yeah, July, as opposed to April. (the 1st, that is, heh heh...)
Cryptic messages are fun. :)

Reminds me of my days in art class. We'd be given a week to do something and I'd basically goof off listening to music or whatever then do the whole thing in one or two days. That was really handy. I am usually able to do the same with writing.
^Probably just 'you've got too much on your plate.' Or maybe 'this is taking too long!' Patience, Darth Lars. ;)

Why would you even say that? Make your suggestion, but don't do it with the aim of starting arguments.
brash_stryker said:HotRod said:You may just want to edit his email address on your post there man. Last thing ady needs is a shit load of spam (or whatever) flooding his hotmail account!!!
The email address is in his sig anyway isn't it?
Yes, but it's not a "proper" link. It says (at) and (dot). That is done on purpose.
oh_riginal said:So, any thoughts on fixing the paused Falcon among the garbage?
Here is an example of what it may look like:This is an issue I've never noticed, despite seeing the movie countless times in my life... until last week.
I'd never noticed that before either. Definitely needs fixing or tweaking or something, because it looks like a cutout the way it is. :p
Hi, George! Thanks for all the cool movies! ;)
^Yessir. :p
Yeah, Transformers set a new standard for shiny metal CG, for sure. One of the things that bothers me about CG creatures is the way the skin moves. Usually looks quite unnatural.
^And the more we post here, the longer this thread stays at the top, right? Woo!
To be honest, I actually thought of this thread a couple of days ago. I have absolutely no problem bumping it from time to time (and I can if you don't beat me to it), especially as this is an important piece of work.
And no matter how good something looks, it's hard for us to believe it's real when we know it's not. (alien creatures, robots, spaceships, etc...) On the other hand, when they try to recreate something that is real, or could be if someone made it, we see the flaws in it much more easily. It works both ways.
I was wondering something, Adywan: are you the type that can have two or three projects (models, puppets, etc...) going at once, or do you prefer to finish one and then move on to the next one?
You could've just said "bump" instead of insinuating that no one cares. ;) This forum doesn't have a system to 'pin' threads, but if it did, I think this one is worthy of it. Also remember that the more you post in other threads, the more people will see your signature...
vaderios said:Still for some weird reason in some films the Cg looks better at older times than now... i cant explain it (yet)
Someone brought this up before and figured it's a situation of too many cooks spoil the broth. They mentioned how Jurassic Park still looks great, but they do a dinosau now and it looks fake in comparison. To me, one big problem is how everything moves too smoothly. It sometimes doesn't have the jerkiness that things in real life move with.
rcb said:there still should be some evidence shown that he had been tortured
There is; emotional distress. You just can't see it. Haha. ;)
rcb said:Ganamae said:the old torture machine does not really tell whats going on..sure it has an orange light to give some indication of warmth, but then there is the sparks..always thought it gave him electric jots.
so this was cool mate..
it should be some type of mask or box that heats up and his face gets stuffed in it and burned. of course, this is a pg rated film
Plus the fact that his face is undamaged when he comes back. ;) Would be a massive amount of work to add marks to it for the rest of the film.
Early script ideas had Lando and the crew not making it out of the Death Star explosion. The Falcon got engulfed by the fire racing behind it. Some people think reinstating that version would make the ending a bit more poignant and make it seem like not everything went their way, that even a main character could die.

Hey, you didn't edit your post! :(

No, where is he?
Nicely done on the 'youngling' saber mockup, vaderios. And it's a very interesting idea, Docta. Makes sense. I don't think I'd wanna see a tiny kid running around with something that could chop him in half with the slightest stumble. They should have Nerf in the Star Wars universe. Well, they do, actually. ;)
^Despair and hope conveyed in only four words. Nicely done! ;)
Jedi Dark Knight said:I find it interesting to see the repeating themes and parallelisms....
That's what Ric Olie is for! :)
That's kinda strange, in a way. I guess it depends on who deals them. Much easier with a massive chain like Sears, I guess. I haven't really noticed if other places sell Craftsman stuff.
Thanks, FF and Moth3r.
I looked around the net yesterday and it seems that a lot of people have problems with the Craftsman lawn tractors. I remember my grandparents had to return one as well. My guess is that maybe some of those priorty parts are problematic. (hopefully not on purpose, huh?) My ancient old lawnmower has a regular old B&S motor on it and until recently, would start on the first pull, even after sitting all winter.
