Ooo, thanks, SKot! Long live the Spleen. :)
Ooo, thanks, SKot! Long live the Spleen. :)
^Bah, that stinks. Sorry to hear it. :( I did make a comment in your own thread, too. (especially since you said some of it was ready back in...January?)
I can easily see someone getting sick of it after viewing/previewing dozens upon dozens of times. It's the ol' 'too much of a good thing' problem, innit?
I didn't mind the voice, it's just that it feels a little too...direct, maybe? Like someone sitting in a room recording themselves with silence around, rather than in a noisy bar. ;)
That was great! Very well done, audio-wise. I liked the tint and I know that stuff like the lightsaber could certainly be fixed, but that really doesn't matter for the time being.
Blimey, don't scare the guy off! ;) There's nothing wrong with announcing intentions, and I don't think people should have to 'promise' to do anything. Don't give someone the 'you better not rip us off' treatment as soon as they walk in the door.
I know part of the reason for these well-intentioned--though not the most welcoming--comments is because he announced his project in the XØ thread (which was a questionable idea), but still...

LUKE: I saw...I saw a [Star Destroyer] in the clouds.
YODA: Mmm. Friends you have there.
LUKE: On a Star Destroyer?!
I've never used a newsgroup before and don't want to have to pay to do this, to be honest. :p
^I'm always disappointed when you don't edit your posts. ;)
So, when I'm ready to start uploading, where should I put this? El Diabloid? Bay of the Pirates? Tiny Nova? ;) And should we ask Boon about adding it to fanedit.org? (there may be some costs involved with RS, though, which ain't my problem. Heh heh.)
Also, A-M, should I write my own description for it, or will you provide one?
All this DLP talk got me thinking 'have I ever seen a DLP movie?' I think the answer is no. :p

I want to see that scene so badly now ...
Was it actually filmed as a "scene" or just as a quick cut to a guy at the gun, then back to the regular stuff? It would be great if there was footage of him firing and such.
Hey, mister! ;)
Any word on this neat-o project? I've been mentioning it for the past couple of days; thinking of it to myself and talking to others. Last thing you said was that discs one and two were done? What's the status now? (as well as the status of the storybook version)
Thanks.
^Thanks. I thought it may have been related to the Reborn project somehow. I'll have to look that up again. I'm still subscribed to benja's thread. ;)
Digital Light Processing. (I had to look it up, but it's what I figured it was.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Light_Processing
Welcome to the board. Should be interesting to see what you're able to do with your equipment. (a hybrid player? Haha, pretty cool.)
It's funny, I was just telling someone about this project today and here it is bumped. :)

It came off to me as like a bright coloring book...
Speaking of coloring books, can anyone remember which project it was where the editor was making a coloring/comic book version of a PT movie? It was some sort of filter he applied that made the colors really pop. It was meant to be a bonus or something. I'm blanking on which it was. Something from quite a while back...

I still don't know the general rationale behind it. (I have my own ideas) Can you give us a bit of an idea sometime, please? ;)
^Dat's true too. Glad you saw my point. I think it can go both ways, depending on how you look at it. Just a random thought I had in reading some of the recent posts. :)
P.S. Vaderios, I know this is a bit [lot] off-topic, but do you have all your signature pics stored somewhere? It would be fun to see all of them again. Oh, and do you make them all yourself? (it's ok if you don't, of course. Haha.)
Definitely a strong "what's in it for me?" vibe stinking up the thread in the past few posts. Not very nice. ;) Thanks for a calm, civilized reply there, Ady.
Oh, and people seem to forget that after ANH:R, Adywan did not take a break! (if he did, it certainly wasn't a few months or half a year or whatever, like he said it was going to be) Imagine if he had! ESB:R would be way behind where it is now. Oh, the horror! :p
Nice job, Cade. :)
I must say, it seems to me that the term 'color corrected' is thrown around a bit too much. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I see it, color correction is to get rid of the added tints to reveal the true color underneath. What people like vaderios do is color alteration, innit? ;)
The cover to Star Wars actually doesn't look like those two, with the red lettering and all. It looks just like the LP version; black background with a white logo. So basically, just picture the LP as more of a rectangular shape. ;)
Knightmessenger said:Wait, the Phantom Menace needs to be color corrected?
Have you seen the screenshots of the color corrected TPM Adywan has done? (in his 1080p AVCHD thread) You'd see how much of a pink tint there is in the movie for some reason.
Don't read too much into goofy jokes. ;)
