Dude, go NTSC all the way. No one wants a DVD-R that runs 4% too fast..

No one wants a DVD-R that has so small resolution as NTSC... And if you use Computer (HTPC) to watch your DVDs you can slow down the speed to original 24fps with ReClock.

Go for the PAL my friend! PAL has the Force in it!

But unfortunately I don't think there are any PAL versions existing... that's quite a problem...

IF a PAL set was captured to PAL with a PAL capture card IT WOULD BE THE SHIT!!!!

My Farscape set is PAL and the SMOKE the NTSC versions! - EVEN thought my TV is NTSC the PAL set is just better

- AND here is some PAL Laserdisc INFO!

BUT I understand the PAL transfers actually BITE - real bad

Not to be a nag, but what other torrents do you have to put up before you get to the Magnoliafan edits?

I have already posted earlier in this very thread when I'm planning on hosting them and other then seeding these - Sorry that's private and of no concern to others - PERIOD

As to your question about the torrents...

Well, I'm still seeding - Star Wars - The Holiday Special - Angrysun Edition and the Animorphic Trilogy (and a few other things )

In addition to the above I also host various Star Wars covers on my private site (my own as well as some created others) and have taken many requests for my custom Star Wars covers and disc art - I've been dedicating alot of my own time (and my wifes personal time - WHOM I might add - I truly love!! - Let's all thank her for all the support and help she's givin' me in my Star Wars ventures! I LOVE YOU BABY!! ) and energies into this site and creating custom covers for those that have requested them. (along with helping others get these films)

I had posted this thread with the intention of sharing these torrents and I will continue to seed them as long as I can.
This is a cool way for you guys to have an alternate way of getting these wonderful titles for free and avoid having to pay upto $30 for these DVD's. Sure I could just post weak small 700mb Divx or VCD files but I want you and all the other members of this forum to have the best possible source for these awesome movies. (I host the actual Fan created DVDr's) PLEASE read through the entire forums and I'm sure you'll find many sources for Star Wars titles.

EVERYONE - Please this is not a request thread - If someone wants to start a request thread for torrents please JOIN a BITTORRENTS message board or forum like Supernova.

I've been a very active member on these boards and have really enjoyed all the great topics and threads and I will continue to do so for a long time but please let's not let this tread turn into a request board.

I ASSURE you all when I post ANYTHING this forum will be the SECOND to know!
(well Myspleen really is first )

I'm only one impassioned fan among a MILLION.........

I can only do SO much guys so please be patient - is this not the way of the Jedi?

May the Force be with all ya scruffy nerf hearders.........

Hey there all!!

FIRST - I just wanted to post thanking everyone for all your support and all your kind words.

I'm backed up pretty bad with my torrents and Covers and what-nots and I've been pushed to my limits this last week now that my work load has doubled (Two other installers quit last week) which is good for me and that my VW busted down (fixed it) but I have limited time to open up photoshop or post covers, torrents and duplicate DVD's -

I'm spent! - I'm beat down true believers - a few of you have asked how I find the time to do so much on the forum (Coke in the 12oz can and the kind ) - really I'm just tired and I want to get away from the puter' for a few days (along with a reformat and a fresh XP install for the old box) and spend some time with the family and my new DIY LCD projector - I promised my son we'd watch Invader Zim so I'm gonna go buy it later today!!

By the way any PM's or regular emails sent to me over the next 3-5 days won't be answered in a very timely manner - SORRY in advance.

So I'll see all you guys and gals in a few Days maybe a week!

PS - I will have taken care of ANY requests by this SUNDAY and ship on MONDAY + I'll have a few neat things added to the list!

Take a look at the screen grab I just made from my SE avi. It's the same shot (give or take a frame). Just to clarify, the stars aren't visible in my avi of the SE as it's a pretty crappy copy, but I assure you, this grab is taken from the SE.

Shit you be right the files on my PC were put in the wrong folder when doing the covers - DOH (photoshop+highgrade can conflict )

I'd better fix it

NOPE it is not..............

Look closer at it - the SE X-wings are at a different angle and the X-wing behind the lead one is hidden by it - The SE version the Xwing is NOT hidden behind the lead X-wing + The SE the backgound as more visable stars.

But I would like to know if there are any chapter paper art (I don't know what to call it) for inside the dvd box matching the 'original trilogy anamorphic ld rip' -version. There are numerous pics of all kind of things in this thread but most of them doesn't work any more and it's _very_ confusing...

BTW, if you think it wouldn't be too risky legally to host best ones of these pictures permanently on a page I would have 50MB of useless page on a pretty good server in Finland. Is it too risky?

Most of the links don't work because we (those of us that post the covers for you to use) do not have unlimited bandwitdh or websites to host the covers - TR47's site is always down now because he host a few covers on his site

[For the third month, traffic on this page is forcing me to take the page down for the remainder of the month. It will reappear next month. I am not able to e-mail copies of these covers to anyone, so if you really want one of these covers please come back next month (if you can't find them elsewhere before then)]

I'm trying to start a site to host all the covers but it's most likely not going to happen as based on TR47's website usage - If I post all 200 covers the site will be down in about a day. I'm not sure how much these sites cost to run and mantain but I'm sure it's more money then I have at this time.

I would let you host my covers plus I'm sure a few other AWESOME cover designers would like that also.

Let us hope and pray to the maker that Stephen Spielberg NEVER gives in to the DARKSIDE...

...For I fear he might follow old George on some damned fool idealistic crusade and attempt to RE-EDIT The Indy Films!!

Ideas: Re-edits for various movies

Clone War, Balance of the Force, Phantom Edits...

After watching magnolia's re-edits and seeing how dramatically they improved the movie. What other movies (obviously Ep. I is the no-brainer) would you like to see re-editted to make a decent or good movie awesome?

4.) Dune - The theatrical release was a mess and I have heard there are edits out there, but damn there is some compelling story there if it was fixed. I'll think of more. And I am not talking about total reshoots, just working with the exisiting film and deleted scenes. BTW there is a fight scene taken out of brotherhood of the wolf that is sick and I have no idea why.

Again, I'd love to hear thoughts on my list and other movies you think could use some editing magic.

I heard a rumor on the Pantom Edit boards WAY BACK WHEN that someone was gonna do this - BUT I guess it was never done.

I have the TV version AKA The Alan Smitee Version on DVDr (3 hour edit - full screen) + the ANAMORPHIC widescreen both copied from the German offical DVD's.

I'd give em up for re-edits if someones really that ambitious

I just don't want to be another in a long list of people bothering Rikter. Let me know if you were/are successful.

Many Thanks

I have my Rikter TR47 set (albiet with minor errors) and I've satisfied.

The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi

Other SW DVD releases- expected by year's end

I didn't see a thread about this, so I thought I'd post about it.

According to what I've seen on tf.n and thedigitalbits.com, we will see 3 SW collections and 2 SW movies coming soon.
One collection is the Clone Wars, but we knew about that one.

The other stuff is 2 sets containing the Droids and Ewoks cartoons from 85-86 and the 2 made-for-TV movies, Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor.

Thoughts:
- Being the fan I am, I'm willing to shell out for all this stuff.
---The droid cartoon, for whatever reason, I never saw, so it will be new to me (even if it was so bad it only lasted a season)
---Ewoks, I recall only a tiny bit of (the episode with the Battle Wagon, and how it had a single pin that, when pulled would destroy the whole thing).
---The 2 movies I remember more of.

Worries:
- I know Lucas is busy with the movie and such, but should we fear that he makes changes to the 2 Ewoks movies?? After all, he said he would wait to put the original trilogy on DVD until after EP3 so he could devote more time to it, and we know that didn't happen.
What could he do?? I don't know, but I wouldn't put it past Lucas to do it.

THIS IS AWESOME!!

I have them all on DVDr (except the ewoks toon ) and I can't wait for REAL offical DVD's!!!!

JUST a note - I will NO LONGER Trade or Duplicate these DVDr's once the news IS OFFICAL from Lucas film (as in a DVD release date!) - THE only way that I will continue to trade them AFTER the Oficial release is if he does the George Lucas thing and tries "To make them better"
