How about a game of Japanese Chess, i.e. Shogi? Now playing Shogi4
Time

I won't be able to move as much either, now that I'll be in regular school again (and I'll try to avoid going online while doing homework, which will take extra long, being in French), so don't worry about not being able to move as often. Our games will just have to be slow most of the time.

I'd like to start with regular Shogi, just to get back into it, then move on to Dobutsu Shogi.

EDIT:  Also, it was nice to see Bingowings mention me a few times, even if it was to worry about where I was.  Good to know I wasn't forgotten in my absence.  But I should clarify I didn't disappear because of any perceived criticism about my clothing choices or gender identity, so fear not.  :-)

It's always nice to see an older member return after a long absence. Ziggy's been dropping in again as well. Even if those members are all before my time, I read a lot of old threads and the beginnings of current ones, so I almost feel like I've conversed with them myself. :)

Random Thoughts
Time

Today I went to Mass in a different language for the first time. I never thought of it before, but the nice thing about the liturgy, not that most people here care, is that a person can follow along in any language, since it's the same wherever you go (as long as it's the same rite, which most Catholic churches are).

The Fish Enthusiast Thread (My fishies are now thousands of miles away, but I finally uploaded pics of a couple of my tanks :-) )
Time

The first picture is one of our 430 gallon tanks. We have another 430 gallon tank to its left, with larger and more aggressive fish in it, like Oscars and African Cichlids. The second picture is the 300 gallon tetra tank. We still have the 180 gallon tank upstairs, and the 112 gallon tank, which we use for baby guppies, platys, etc. and the pregnant female live-bearers.

EDIT: Or at least that's how it was and will be when we get back to the house in Alberta. I miss having fifteen tons of water in my basement....

The Fish Enthusiast Thread (My fishies are now thousands of miles away, but I finally uploaded pics of a couple of my tanks :-) )
Time

I finally got around to uploading a couple pictures of our tanks to Flickr. I said I would do it earlier, but I was hoping to get better pictures first. Then my family ended up going to Québec, and with the cleaning and month-long trip, I wasn't able to upload pics until now.

The tanks weren't looking their best in the pictures, but they're OK. Here they are:

430 Gallon Cichlid Tank, Shortly after Set-up

300 Gallon Tetra Tank, Shortly after Second Set-up

^The images might not show up, but I'm working on it. Flickr changed things again, so I'm trying to figure out how to insert them here.

EDIT: Got it!

Star Wars: Knight of the Empire (The Second Episode in DuracellEnergizer's New PT Re-Write) *CANCELLED*

INT. DUQUESNE HOMESTEAD/NASHIRA'S BEDROOM -- SUNRISE

Entering the bedroom, Nik finds 'Shira. Seated on the chair to the left of her bed, dressed in pajamas, Siri stares into the mirror, brushing her pixie-styled strawberry blond hair as bright yellow sunlight falls upon the back of her head from the uncovered window; the joy upon her face is evident.

 Weird...Nashira and Siri share a room? :P

I just got around to reading your second episode. I'm liking it even better than the first one so far.

Personal Quest to Learn Over 20 Languages
Time

Being completely immersed in a different language is an interesting experience. I was only in Quebec for a few days, since we went through to New Brunswick and are touring the Maritime provinces now, but I can tell it's going to be quite difficult. I wish I had had more time to do some hardcore studying with regards to French (we left about a month after we began serious discussion about going to Quebec).
