Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)

I found the movie very un-engaging and dull for the most part. The story wasn't very interesting, universe shrinkage was excessive, dialogue wasn't great, and those stupid droids were darn annoying. It would be more interesting if they actually acted like they were programmed, not like they were a bunch of children, armed and thrown into the fray.

Almost the only positive thing about it was the fact that the lightsabre fights weren't overdone, but were interspersed with dialogue, while the lightsabres actually made contact frequently (but not a hundred times per second).

4/10

So....did Grievous know that Palpatine was Sidious?
Time

I'm pretty sure that was it, actually. He wanted to be captured so that Anakin would rescue him (I forget how he knew it was going to be Anakin) and fight with Count Dooku. He promised Dooku that if Anakin gained the upper hand, he would interfere, but his real plan was, of course, to get Dooku out of the way if Anakin was more powerful.

A typical EU explanation trying to rectify bad writing.

The Breakfast Club (1985)

Aside from all the sex talk, which was no surprise in an R-rated movie, I quite enjoyed it. The acting was good, the characters had personality, and it had some good humour throughout. This was also the first time I've seen Ally Sheedy, who is related to me somehow or other (we have the same last name), in a movie.

PRE VIZSLA: [...]

Lowering his hands, he pulls the folds of his dirt-stained robes aside, revealing the hilt of a lightsaber clipped to his belt. Taking hold of the dark gray length of metal, he pulls it out and presses the activation stud; with a soft, almost metallic whistle, a white blade with a pure blade core sprouts from the hilt.

ZULL: Gods, no. No here. Not like this.
