Yes, but since ROTS was the first movie to be sent around like this, they must still be working on encryption to cut bootlegging.

That is the way it was distributed, and most likely the way all films (read: movies, because when they are digital they really stop being films) will be distributed in the future. We're living the death of analog. We discussed this same thing in my Film II class recently.

There's a difference between removing garbage mattes and removing dust. The garbage mattes are in the film itself. Dust and things like it are imperfections due to maltreatment of the film. If you can't see that difference, then I can't help you, but I doubt you're going to change the intentions of the X0 project just by bitching like you are.

Aw hell, Metallaxis had such a good idea the first two people to PM me will get a total of three discs from either of these two lists:

Movie, music and TV DVDs
Star Wars DVDs

Mix and match, get a whole set, whatever. A total of 3 discs from either list, first two people to PM.

And if anyone wants to help a guy out, I'd love copies of Citizen's ANH and ESB.

EDIT: That went quick! Ell the Ewok and THX, you'll have replies in a few minutes when I clear out some of my PMs.

Watching it again, I can see the resemblance to Shatner's voice. However, if it is him, he must've been instructed to speak with an unnatural faux-British accent and then was pitch-shifted down, because his voice is much lower than I've ever heard it before and it doesn't sound like whoever is doing is is trying to lower his voice.

I have the 110 and the only thing I can really complain about is it kind of upsets the black levels (washes it to gray), but that's easily fixable.

If you get them printed at Kinko's on glossy paper they do. My MagFan edits look just as official on my shelf as the official sets.

I liked how balls-out violent it was. It was a decent flick, which is about all I can say for every Marvel comic book movie.

Yeah, I did kind of figure that you justified the echo in that way, and it works in that way. What I was more referring to was the six years of age added onto his voice between the filming of the two scenes. I might have just been hearing things, though. I am looking forward to the final result, either way. It's definitely one of the more creative OT projects that's ever been tackled.

I can't say I'm entirely for the idea, but the clip that was posted was very interestingly done and I think it would be very neat to watch the movie in this way. The only thing that stood out to me about the clip were the significant differences of Alec Guiness' performances from ANH and ROTJ, but save that, it was very cool.
