It's a DVD. Anamorphic widescreen 1.77:1 ratio (a bit more image information showing than the US release). Looks quite nice.

I just got a copy of this. The scenes with Japanese dialogue are not subtitled at all, so I'm having it translated and then I will be re-authoring the disc with English subtitles.

I've gotta say, I've never heard of this flick before, but now I'm hella interested in checking it out. I think I'll wait for this edition rather than watching the currently-available version first.

I can't imagine a reason for that. I use the MTV Music Generator to program all the drums and synthesizer stuff I use in my own music and use the RCA outputs to plug the audio into my digital recorder and the results are great every time. Are you sure it isn't the cables or a problem with the recording device?

Do you have Nero selected to burn DVDs? When you open Nero Burning ROM (not Express or the Wizard or anything), and the "New Compilation" window comes up, in the top left corner is the disc type selection, that's normally set for CDs. Drop down the menu and select DVD. Select "DVD Video" and drag the files into the already-there VIDEO_TS folder. I had the same trouble for a while before I realized that selection was there.

I can't tell you what you should get, but the red problems are because of the MiniDV format.

The aspect ratio on the original DVD was weird. The 2-disc edition has it fixed.

Thanks for the notes, Garrett. A guy who posted here a couple times called Jeph did the same thing a while back. He constructed the long AOD while he was constructing a 1-movie version of the ED trilogy. I'm going to be working with him soon to re-construct those in DVD quality.

The 1-movie version will be in an open-matte fullscreen. The long AOD will be in both open-matte fullscreen and widescreen (perhaps anamorphic, depending on the sources). There's gonna be a lot of tricky blending and things like that going on.

I think I would like that a lot better than the ST5 edit (because 5 is a personal favorite of mine). It would ring a lot truer to the original idea and I think TMP could definitely be cut down to about an hour, or maybe 90mins to be a two-parter.

What the hell? No he didn't, he said he didn't even know he was in the new version until he recieved a copy of the DVD set. They used scrap footage from ROTS.

Did you lift the isolated scores from the EditDroid or ISOMIX editions? If you didn't, how did you address the Lapti Nek/Sail Barge music issue?

There are only a few listed over at the GTF. And what it does feature is limited to Star Wars discs, and doesn't include a list of changes of any sort. It's really no use quoting yourself.
