Both true. However, the early stuff on Tatooine slows down the pace of the flick to an incredible crawl. Add to that the fact that Luke barely reacts when his best-friend-for-however-many-years is killed in battle, the scenes made a lot of sense to lop out.

Rarest retail DVD I own? Probably the out-of-print Bride of Re-Animator special edition. There might be something rarer. Rarest movie in my collection? Well, if I mention it, people will bug me for it and I can't trade it out

I recall someone mentioned here somewhere that there's some way to trick Premiere into editing straight MPEG2 video? Would anyone mind helping me out there?

Also, can you get it to edit AC3 audio?

Haha, it probably is, but I also wouldn't know. I have it on DVD, but I've never watched it. I had it on VHS years ago and watched that a few times.

The Fight Club workprint has a few dialogue extensions in addition to all of the deleted scenes from the DVD being in the movie. It also has the small scene where Jack is told that his luggage has been blown up. Also, the score is all temp.

Also got word that that person is using a set-top DVD recorder to do the transfer. That's good enough, if nothing else is available, but I'd really like if someone with a laserdisc player and a good capture card and computer capabilities to do this transfer to step up.

I've gotten word that a friend of Garrett's (ocpmovie's) has already transferred the special features from The Fisher King and is going to do Munchausen when he gets back from his vacation, and when I send him the laserdiscs. Sweet!
