Help Wanted: Someone with BBC4 HELP ME!
Time

This Friday night (Sept 15th) at 9pm (I’ve heard, not positive), BBC4 is showing a documentary called ‘Stiff Nights’ about the history of Stiff Records. I’d be really grateful if someone could record it for me (preferably digitally, but any medium is okay), I have plenty of discs I could compensate you with.

I know there are UK’ers on here!

EDIT: Inserted date of broadcast for less confusion.

First Impressions of the OOT ...
Time
I was like a lot of people here, very wary of the quality of these. I was expecting a way-off black level and a way-too-soft image, but I was happily proven wrong. Yeah, all of the shortcomings here are true, but meh. I'm happy to have shown my interest in the OUT by plopping down money for it.

The hardest part was deciding whether or not to buy the full screen or widescreen set. On the one hand, I already paid for the widescreen box set and didn't want to buy the same product a second time. On the other hand, I feel downright dirty buying a fullscreen disc... I went with fullscreen.

'Let It Be' - has anyone done done a quality preservation? (Released)
Time
So we all know that Let It Be is floating around. Personally, I didn't find the lack of quality too terribly distracting. There are two versions of deleted scenes reels around: one runs about an hour, the other runs about two. And then there's a Beatleg DVD set that was recently released called "Get Back: Stereo Video Album / The Winter of Discontent", which is pretty amazing. You can check out more information on that here and here.

***//BUILDING EMPIRE\\: PAL & NTSC DVD - NEW EDITION NOW ONLINE! ***
Time
I've had experience with things like this before. I run a CD trading website and a few of our discs have wound up on eBay from time to time. Sometimes, it's questionable whether or not it's from us, but there was one occasion that gave the guy away. Myself and friends of mine sent him nasty emails and reported him to eBay multiple times in a few hours and he eventually just got annoyed and took them down. A similar strategy may work.

Is Dune a good movie?

This is exactly what I was going to say.

The SciFi miniseries is a great adaptation, but all of the sets look like sets and the acting can be downright painful.

If you watch any cut of Lynch's 1984 version, you'll easily see that all of the actors totally embody their characters and it looks like the flick was shot on location on Arakkis and Caladan and the others. Even if you don't like Lynch's films, you at least have to recognize the fact that when he makes a movie, he perfectly creates the world in which it takes place. It's a big part of why Eraserhead is so strong.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
I can't remember if I said this before in this thread or not, but I really can't wait for this project. The Alderaan thing really excites me. I'm wary of you cutting anything for pace, because I believe the pacing of the flick is its strongest point, but I won't judge till I see.

One thing I wanted to ask is that since you're color correcting your version from the DVD, might you consider a separate release that's just a color-corrected version of the DVD?

HELL YES! Please do so, sir, at least to tide us over whilst we wait for newer output from you.

iPod Question

I think Sean may be right here. The iPod is the only MP3 player I know of with this extremely annoying bit of functionality (and is part of the reason why I use Creative products).
