99% sure they’re not related. And Jmo already used his sock quota today.

I’m 100% not related. Sure I could download images of funny images of socks in the Random image thread sometime. No sock accounts here.

Our dog has been pretty miserable the last few nights.

My neighbors dogs tend to freak every time there’s a big boom.

There were idiots firing stuff into the air over New Year’s just down the street. Real fireworks, not just firecrackers. If the roofs had not been soaked from the winter storms, I’m sure there would have been a fire or two to kick off 2017.
The management quietly hired a security guard last month who patrols at night. Hopefully they’ll keep a lid on the shenanigans, at least inside the gates. Plenty of idiots that can fire stuff off in the strawberry fields around here though.

Always loved the word shenanigans. Where might you live near if you don’t mind me asking?

Superman (1941) (Mild-Mannered Edition) (Released)

I got a message from someone who said he thinks the copies of the Fleischer shorts that were on the The Superman Motion Picture Anthology, 1978-2006 Blu-Ray set are different than the ones on the yellow two-disc Superman: The Fleischer Cartoons: The Complete Series set from Warner Home Video, that maybe some of the issues with the set were corrected. I’m skeptical. Does anyone own this particular set? The shorts were apparently on the Superman II and Superman II Richard Donnor Cut discs (half of the shorts on one, half on the other).

I own the UK release of the SUPERMAN Anthology 1978-2006 BD set. Only thing which is different are packaging and ratings logos.

Sock puppets are worthless. Might be the only person on here posting under their true name. Will I be banned for being tired of not wanting to buy anything Star Wars again? Is it better or worse I focus my Blu-ray disc and UHD collection towards movies I truly want to own? Is it bad I pester preservationists and fan editors if they can use an HD source or the Blu-ray disc they’d have far better quality? To not use DVNR or EE?

Sure I used to browse quite a lot but this account I have doesn’t mean shit and is a counterpoint to the one I have on HTF.com and Blu-ray.com

Hey, thanks for letting us know that you don’t want to buy anything. The first twenty-nine times I kind of forgot, but I think it will stick this time.

Oh I do buy DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and occasionally a UHD now and then. Just nothing Star Wars. Except those movie tickets.

Especially worthless since the deployment of the Sockbuster3000 last year.

There’s a fine line between asking questions and constantly threadcrapping on stuff you don’t like.

As for real names, it’s purely a personal choice. I don’t want George showing up on my doorstep, especially on such a nice Sunday afternoon. 😃

I’d give George back the rest of my Star Wars stuff. Except the PC versions of KotOR I & II and OG Battlefront I & II. But I digress. Would rather sell all of the action figures and comics anyway.

Idea: 'Return of the Living Dead' (1985) - Shout Factory BD with Edited Credits
Time

I only have the MGM BD and Shout! BD for The Return of the Living Dead. Was gonna import the UK Second Sight UK BD for the OG cinematic audio in lossless. Always seems like it’s quite expensive.
Glad someone wants to take the better image from the SHOUT and then put the OG cinematic track with it.
Would make a loverly BD25.

I’m glad they are ending on their own terms, instead of meandering on and declining in quality (Big Bang, Doctor Who under Moffat, etc) just to make more episodes. Hopefully we can have a quality season with no filler.

The Big Bang Theory was never good.

Disappointing Season 4 for REBELS will be its last. Can’t Filoni just have the crew do other shit in different regions of the galaxy while events in the OG OT are habbening?

I could see some of the characters of Rebels being part of the new show they are planning. He carried over his favorites from Clone Wars.

I honestly forgot what happened to that Sergio Leone styled bounty hunter from The Clone Wars series. Strange since I watched it all, chronological order.

But jokes are supposed to be funny.

Let’s face it, THE CLONE WARS CGI TV series managed to accomplish something Episodes II & III could never do. Made you care about Anakin. Oh yeah, because the actor received far better direction. Blame Lucas on not wanting to give proper direction to Hayden Christiansen.

+1, but only for the section I quoted.

Han - Solo Movie ** Spoilers **

I must say that Lucasfilm surely did kind of screw up with how late in the game they decided to part with the directors and realize how serious the issues had gotten. But I think they are really bouncing back like no other studio could and the hiring of Ron Howard shows that. He is a calming presence with a great fx-heavy history of films and I think can do a great job of getting the movie to align more with Kasdan’s version of the script.

TLDR: Lucasfilm screwed up but is still a class act with saving these projects, making them great, and moving forward to give us a satisfying result (Rogue One).

Agreed wholeheartedly.

Are they skipping the origin story in this new movie?

Everything I’ve heard points to that being the case.

Review I read says yes. It’s post-Civil War, with Stark trying to get him to take heroing slowly. They mention that he was bitten by a spider, but we don’t have to see Bruce’s parents get shot - I mean, Uncle Ben die - again.

What about Uncle Ben’s rice? Glad it has the armpit wings with the suit and the more Steve Ditko/John Romita Sr. design for look of it.
No doubt I’ll be going to see it. Probably week asfter it opens or the following Tuesday.

Still extremely hyped about THOR: RAGNAROK.

Ron has helmed many FX heavy movies since Willow. And he was innovative enough to shoot several scenes in Apollo 13 aboard the aircraft used to briefly simulate zero gravity for astronaut training. Can’t get more “practical” effects than that. 😃

Glad I own the remastered Blu-ray disc, eventually the UHD too, for APOLLO 13. (Still trying to sell the digital copy code.)
He also really understands characters too. Cocoon, A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man, Rush, etc.. Where it’s not solely focusing on the FX which delivers the film but everything else included.
So yes, I’m expecting this Han Solo film to be a character study with added FX shots to assist and compliment the story.
A an aside, I was gonna go see this no matter what and with Ron Howard having taken over directing duties, I’m more at ease with the premise.
