Yes, both Thrawn Trilogy and Duology, but the rest of my books are pre-ROTJ, e.g.: Shadows of the Empire, one book from H.Solo's Trilogy, couple of story compilations...

But I gave up on buying those books, with the exception of encyclopedias, albums and the likes.

I guess it's because they're savages, probably there is a "shot at sight" policy regarding Tuskens... noone wants to see them there and they don't want to hang out with anyone else.

Who knows? maybe they crash landed on this planes so long time ago that they slowly degenerated into what's left of the original species?

New Jedi Order
Time
OK, so my regular reaction to NJO:

A long time ago, actually not so long since its all years after ANH, in a galaxy far, far away...

STAR WARS
The Reborn-Renew Jedi Order Proving Ground School, part 8

(NJO Book #CXLVIII)

It's a time of so-so peace in the Galaxy. The last remains of the Empire:Reloaded, led by evil revived clone of a bad xerocopy of Palpatine's grandson's lookalike and the cunning grandson of Thrawn's nephew - Le Grandeur Admirale Thaw, are instilling bad feelings among the stellar citizens. The New Republic-v.3.2 Fleet, composed of prized Super-Hi-Fi-Eclipse Star-Bombad-Destroyers, repainted to fuchsia/pink color scheme (after capture) resembling peace is standing by to thwart any danger that may appear as a phantom menace to the New Republic-v.3.2.

As if Imperials weren't enough, a new terror emerges - an completely unknown alien race from a different movie, know only as the "bombad alienz dat eat ze brainz". Only the neon swinging hippie cultist, known also as Reborn-Renew Jedi, can avert the danger and bring some sort of order to the Galaxy.

Duke Skywalker, the grand, grand, grand^6... son of Luke S. is meeting at Chewie's graveyard with a wealthy merchant, Jacen-Han Solo-Organa, to take the Reborn-Renew Jedi training from him in the Jedi Order Proving Ground School in Naal Hutta. Unbeknownst to him is the adventure that lies on the path he is about to choose...

why do they call us geeks
Time
Hmmm... I wonder if, in the times of unprecedented LOTR popularity, we could call all those people who speak Elvish, dress up as Boromir etc. as geeks... or those who end every sentence with "...Mister Anderson."

if you're obsessed with sth that is very popular at the moment = you're not a geek (you just follow the fad, like a sheep)
if you're obsessed with sth that is NOT (excessively) popular (at the moment) = you may be considered a geek by some people

I'd write a different definition of geekhood. I always put it together with early Sci-Fi shows, like Star Trek, and the likes - modern series: Stargate etc. They all have common thing - the focus on SCIENCE. Star Wars (the original Trilogy) is NOT about the science, it's a western/fairy tale set in space. Therefore:

ST, SG, whatever fans = are geeks
SW fans = are NOT geeks

This is assuming that "geek" means "a weirdo wearing glasses, with 10 pencils, ruler etc. in a pocket, not knowing anything about sport, but able to explain quantum physics to you".

If "geek" means "any kind of weirdo" then THE WORLD IS MADE OF GEEKS.

Class dismissed

Video Game Sound
Time
As for the MOHAA: the game comes WITHOUT 3D sound, which is a major setback today.

But my buddy told me there was some way to activate it. I was too lazy to look for the solution on the Internet, so I found it myself

You need another game based on Q3 engine that uses 3D sound drivers. In my case I managed to activate EAX2 supported by my SoundBlaster Live! and enjoy full spatial sound mayhem of blazing Garands, Schmeissers and MG42s.
