It’s not even that I just don’t think it’s a great thing to joke about in general.

I hope she won’t be my ex forever though, she just needs to sort herself out. I hope. It was pretty serious and I had grown to love her daughter as my own. It’s a real bummer.

That fucking guy still won’t leave me alone either, so I’m sure it’s worse for her and I’m also sure he’s the reason she’s went through her mental breakdown that’s caused her to have to be alone. I hate that fucked, I hate him for all the terrible things he did to her (more than just stalkimg I’ll say that), I hate him for how much he’s traumatized her, and I hate him for being the reason we aren’t together right now. (Not that she’s with him or anything she’s just so beat up mentally). Other than myself he’s the only person I’ve ever wanted to kill. My dad shot him with a pellet gun once though so that was fun.

I love her so much. We had been on and off again for years (mainly due to her and admittedly my own mental frailty) and as soon as we finally had things figured out he unleashes a whole new level of psycho and pushes her over the edge. I hate him. I would have done anything to help but she chose to deal with it alone. I love her so much and she loved and probably still loves me too. I can only hope that she comes around and comes back. Especially now that I’m sober I would be on top of the world with her by my side, she’s so amazing.

This isn’t the thread for this I guess.

That’s the one I grew up with as well but I have since discovered the superiority of the pc version. Actual cutscenes, higher quality voices and more voice clips, higher quality music. I play it with a ps3 controller.

Unfortunately sometimes the music doesn’t loop properly but it might just be that I’m running on a way newer operating system than it was meant for.

If you were going to make a Film or Films. What Aspect ratio, Lens, Camera, Genre, Style, etc. Would you use. Thread

Sounds like a whole lot of effort for the same thing. Shooting on film i understand. Doing the editing and post work on film seems unnecessarily complicated, difficult, and expensive for a final result that would be nearly indistinguishable (again not talking about doing the initial shooting on film). Especially considering almost any place that would show your film would just show it digitally anyway. And you could still make prints of it anyway.

But then again I’m not speaking from a film enthusiasts perspective.

Well the audio on the digital version on Amazon is garbage. Picture looks great but the audio was horrible. It was a simple 2.0 mixdown and wasn’t even Dolby surround compatible. Had no bottom and no power at all. I know not alot of people use Dolby surround any more, but if you have to present it in 2.0 anyway is there really any reason not to? Ffs theres free software that does it automatically with a few clicks. And even besides it being surround compatible that way down mixing it properly would have eliminated the dull and powerless feel, unless it was there originally. The 2.0 laser disc mixes for the oot sound better.(Well for esb and rotj anyway)

Meaning you would do all image processing analog but then have it scanned and assembled digitally? What about color timing? Seems like itd be pretty hard to get a good color grade doing it before editing. Or would you scan it, edit it together, save it back to film again then do a color pass?

I think if I were to make a movie, I think I’d to make it with old technology. Make it exactly the same way they did in the 30’s, 40’s, or 50’s. I don’t know it would be in glorious black and white or three-strip technicolor(and I don’t mean a digital re-creation, I mean the real thing). I wouldn’t want to use any newer technologies, or techniques. I would want it to be as old fashion as possible.

I too like to spend unnecessarily excessive amounts of money and do things as inconveniently as possible to get similar results.

I imagine it’d be tricky getting ahold of usuable '30s-'50s film stock, and processing equipment from those decades probably doesn’t exist anymore.

make new '30s-'50s film stock.

OK.

make new processing equipment that is exactly the same as the old.

Sounds reasonable
