Coming from someone who over half the time doesn't even post relevant replies that doesn't carry much weight.

I was polite and stated his work is great, because it's true and I really believe that.  So because I hold the opinion that this is gone on long enough (NOT the opinion that it's shitty work or any such nonsense) I shouldn't be allowed to post my opinion huh?  I have to have the same feelings about it as everybody else to be able to voice it?

Whatever.  At least it was ABOUT ESB:R.  Over half of your posts are unnecessary, so I really won't worry about when you think something shouldn't be said.

Well that was supposed to happen in 2009 and 2013 is already almost over.  A strong part of me thinks it's never coming out.  He's just going to keep tweaking and tweaking and tweaking stuff that is *almost* noticeable until the day he dies.

No offense, Adywan does great work, but this is just excessive and unnecessary in my opinion.  Maybe when it comes out I will share it with my grandchildren.

I can understand an objection to the bracelets . . . but taking it to the US Supreme Court?    Its not worth that.

You don't have to.  It wasn't the people defending the bracelets taking it to the supreme court.  It was the people so hellbent on getting it banned taking it there after losing like at least 4 times and they still won't give up on getting them banned.

Very true, and in fact very concerning.  George may have been at least a little greedy, but disney makes him look like -insert person generally accepted to be giving and helpful because I'm too lazy to think of one-.

George has given his blessing to fan films, so I'm sure a fanedit he can at least stomach without having to do anything.  If the prequels tell us anything, George is lazy.

UGH.  This thread is ridiculous.  What is it with this guy.  He keeps insisting on using crappy sources like it's no big deal.  First he wants to use the phantom edit as a source, then a copied DVD? He expects us to believe he can even come close to pulling off the changes he listed when he doesn't even understand the concept of video quality? UGH.

So... your not against HD footage... you crave HD footage... so you're using a copied DVD? Wtf.  Do you not get it?  There is NO reason NOT to use the best quality footage possible.  Seriously.  WHO wants to watch an edit based off of clearly inferior source footage when there are so many HD edits around? Anybody?

And I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that you could even come CLOSE to making these changes when you don't even understand the very basic concepts of video quality.

I haven't edited in close to a year.  I need a pretty good warm up.  I think before I tackle this I'm going to finish my HD hybrid Empire Strikes Back.  I don't know if I should bother making a topic for it though.  It hardly qualifies as an edit.  (the only creative change is to the lighting under the imperial walker as I already stated).  

Basically, it's an updated version of the theatrical 'cut'.  Except with Ian Mcdarmid as the emperor.  By this I mean, updated visuals are kept but extra scenes have (executor, etc) been removed.   Also, as I said, all lightsaber blades have their white cores restored.  Lightly color corrected.  I actually like the *idea* behind the 2004 coloring, it gives it an artistic feel I think, I just think it went too far.  I might experiment with histograms.

I'll post some screenshots of restored saber blades shortly.

I wouldn't put it past moth3r to be able to count to 100.

That doesn't make any sense.  If you're against downloading a copy of the official version, why not just download a different fanedit to use?  Using plainly inferior source material is pointless and is going to turn everybody off of this project.  Who wants to watch something that is needlessly low in quality?  

Do we want to watch Harmy's despecialized oot, or do we want to watch the official 2006 GOUT?

You want to use the best source material possible.  There is no justifying using poor quality material when higher quality is EASILY available.  Not downing your work or ideas otherwise, just trying to give some advice.  It may not seem like a big deal to you, but it's going to deter alot of people from watching it.   

I love how everybody including me but those two ( and maybe some silent others), actually do find Frink funny, and two random people that nobody really seems to like (not that I'm liked either, but hey that's okay) seem to think they are the authority on what should be said and that because they think you aren't funny/ on topic enough that you should just stop because it's wrong.

Who cares if everybody else doesn't mind, it's you two that matter.
