JEDIT: Don’t know why I quoted the wrong post, but I’m too lazy to fix it. Sorry coffee, I quotes you next time, mk?

Please do not quote me the next time I talk about MK Ultra. You can quote me any other time. Thank you for understanding.

Some of The Alice Cooper albums from the 70s do that with the song titles and it is confusing. They are ordered correctly on the label on the actual record but on the artwork they are in whatever order they feel like. I think they changed this when they cane out on CD though.

I suppose it’s no worse than Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy having absolutely no text or even anything at all on the outer artwork to even indicate that it’s a led zeppelin album, much less which one, though. The CD releases had some text on the back cover to let you know and a song list, but on my dad’s vinyl records (The best way to hear them) there’s nothing at all on the outer artwork. Unless you know what it is already you have to open it up, and in some cases actually take the record out of the sleeve.

Womble is pretty easy on the wallet and computer. I wouldn’t try to do anything complex or try to make any visual changes with it but it’s more than adequate to trim dialogue/rearrange scenes. It’s audio editing is pretty simple and efficient as well. It’s obviously geared to edit mpg2 video but it accepts other kinds. It’s mpg2 encoder isn’t great but it’s h264 encoder isn’t bad and it supports HD. It supports 5.1 audio as well. It doesn’t let you edit the individual channels but it still let you make cuts and fades and such as a whole and export in 5.1. Also worth noting is if you’re exporting in 5.1 and Abby of the audio in your timeline is 2.0 stereo it will automatically do a pro logic 2 upmix on , which is quite handy and convenient.

It performs much better and more accurately on mpg2 video though, so if I’m making extensive edits to something else a trick I’ve found us to convert my other file to a " dummy"
Mpeg2 with a really low nitrate and make my edits to it, then before I export the project delete the dummy file, then when it asks me to “find” the file I point to the original file. All edits preserved without having to deal with the buggy performance it gives when editing anything else. Seems like a long way to go, yes, but it’s interface is so much easier than other editors that I think it’s worth it.
