Call me ignorant, but what does it actually mean to re-render CG? I assumed it was ‘drawn’ at whatever resolution and that was it.
The ‘skin’ you build over the ‘frame’ of the models using higher resolution graphics, I would imagine.
That would make sense. So the ‘frame’ is a vector of some sort and thus enlargeable.
Yes probably a similar concept behind texture packs for Nintendo 64 games and the emulators render the graphics in whatever resolution you want and its obviously not a simple upscale.
