Last bit says (i.e. censorship). Which is kindof a giveaway that whoever made the image didn’t know/care what censorship really is, and along with the “can’t be used by white men, Christians, etc” shows they’re pretty unaware of how much the victim card gets played by those groups. Not just the accomplishments themselves though. The actual workers and labourers who physically made it happen don’t deserve to have their hard work erased.

I’m only 23 and I still grew up with the Out via faces vhs. First time I ever saw the se at my grandma’s I noticed every (major) change and hated it. (I was really picky about certain things even as a child. Drove my parents crazy when they bought the dvd set and I continued to watch it on VHS)

I cut out 3po wanting to leave early because I know it was supposed to be humorous to have him knock and then give up after less than a second, but I just thought it was annoying.

I had the “Captain Solo” line removed originally, but I put it back in because with the crowd laughter also removed it was much too quick of a scene change, and if I have to keep one the 3p0 line is much less annoying than salacious crumb.

Notable cuts:

Cut down/removed crowd laughter. Not opposed to the concept just don’t like the execution because I hate salacious crumb.

Only very first part of music sequence is heard, no jedi rocks or lapti nek. Used some ideas from darthrush for the droid torture scene.

Leah and Jabba no longer argue about the price of chewbacca. Mainly just because I hated the crowd reaction shots.

Various other cuts for tone.

Technically speaking I think the cuts are very smooth, but as for watching it all back to back I’m not sure. Some things feel a little awkward, but I can’t tell if it’s because I know so well what was originally there so it just naturally feels like something is missing because I know exactly what was removed. My main concern is that it feel seamless to somebody who has never seen the film before. I can’t tell what it would feel like if I hadn’t been watching this sequence unedited over and over again.

Yeah it’s not Christensen’s fault, he was only doing what he was told. And with nothing to react to but a green screen you can understand his acting being a bit wooden.

From what I’ve heard he was able to get pixar to send him the animated model for the ice monster in Monsters Inc. (The one in the joke years and years ago) and was able to digitally replace the entire wampa with it.
