STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

"I've tried using HDTV footage from Jedi for the surface and added lukes X-wing diving in whilst blasting away..."
--Sounds interesting...Since you're not using that shot, you wanna post it?
I also would'nt mind seeing this if its not too much trouble to post

Hey ADY. This is really stupid, but I was wondering if it is possible to put alien heads on some rebels bodies, just so it doesn't look all human if you know wat I mean. I know it's stupid, but just tell me wat Ur thoughts R on it.

I also think this is an interesting idea (although I see how it could be quite difficult to pull off), could be neat though.

Star Wars Episode III - how the fans would want it (* unfinished project? *)
Time
Well those were fantastic, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I knew about your battle for naboo re edits but not that you had any other ones up. Now I can't wait to see your full edit. The only thing that I would say about those is that in the General Greivous flees video I don't think the music is needed until the exterior shot of the Invisible Hand (as I think someone posted under the video). I think it might work a little better without it in that spot, but only a little bit (I could go either way). Are those scenes going to be exacly the same in this edit (aside from quality of course)?

I would like to see them outlined. I'll have to wait and see what I think of the R2 scene once it has the music that was originally planned for it. Are there any more places in the film where you will be restoring, or placing music where it was originally intended to be? John Williams always did know better than Ben Burtt where music was meant to go!

Adywan, I know I already mentioned it, but I still think it would be a neat change/alteration to give a bit more life to the landspeeder in the shot where Luke is walking towars the bodies of Beru and Owen. The landspeeder is only in frame for a brief period of time, but to me it would make the shot much more convincing if it had some movement. I know it's not a glaring error or even anything that actually needs to be changed, It just seemed to be a fitting addition to this edit and I'm wondering if this is a shot you're considering changing.

I'm not completely sure what you meant about the removal of vader references and re-editing scenes to aid in such a usage. Would it mean taking out audio references or would it be a larger alteration, involving the removal of scenes like Vader and Palpatine on the Star Destroyer bridge? This really sounds like an interesting version of ROTS, however, what might interest me the most are the music changes. You said in your version the R2 setting fire to the droids scene will have music?

Hmm, Ive been thinking about something that bothers me in episode III and I want to know what you think about it. How would you feel about completely removing the scene where R2 sets the Battle Droids on fire. For me it's a prime example of something that is unesscisary and really slows down the opening of the film (aside from being unconvincing from an animation point of view, for me anyways). I think it would serve the film better to get rid of it, and make way for a bit of the unused material on the Invisible Hand. Just a thought.

Or maybe Owen removed them to keep Luke in the dark a bit more. I mean it does say Shmi SKYWALKER! Luke would probably want to know who she was and Owen would want Luke's interest kept to a minimum. Anyway, I ws just wondering, I still think it would be cool. Also, on a different note, in the background of the shot where Luke is walking towars the bodies of Beru and Owen his landspeeder looks very stationary (and low to the ground). I think that if Luke had just gotten out of his speeder in would still be bouncing up and down a bit (like in the other shots where he gets out of his speeder). I don't know how this would be acheived, but I feel it needs some kind of movement or lift to keep it consistent with other landspeeder shots, and to keep it from looking like a car.

Adywan, I'm so impressed. There's only one thing that stood out to me, the shots of the X-wings moving towards the Death Star that were not changed for the special edition. The engine glow is finally red (thaks to you) but the glow was always a bit too sharp for me, I just don't feel that it matches the glows on the digital X-wings. I think that the white core has to smoothly overlap (or bleed into) the red glow a bit to emulate the digital glows. Other than that, I could not have hoped for better shots. Keep up the good work!

Hi, Adywan, I'm new here. I would just like to say (as many have before) that your work is fantastic and I love what your doing to Star Wars. Your edit is that update that I always thought Star Wars needed. Anyways, there are two things that I'm wondering about:

1) When the milenium falcon is leaving the Death Star docking bay, it has always bothered me that the cockpit shot before they leave has only a black background in the window of the falcon when I always thought there should be a wall of the docking bay instead. Have you changed anything in this shot?

2) There are a couple of shots in the Yavin hanger bay where 3po walks by during Luke's dialouge, but instead of hearing those electronic servo sounds that are associated with 3po there is that loud crackling noise made by his suit because they were using the on set dialouge. It would be nice to hear that crackling go if possible, and to hear the sounds usually associated with 3po inserted.

By the way, you should definately keep the battle of heroes music during the Obi-Wan and Vader duel. It worked well and I did not see it on the recent list of changes.
